grizzled47,

Looks like you found yourself a prize. Most women will go for the wine part but forget the outdoors.

I have found the Excalibur bows to be so accurate that you don't realize their full potential without an Excalibur crossbow scope. That's my experience.

Kind of a long distance shot, but it's me (at the Taj Mahal). The date on the picture is wrong, it was sometime in May 2000.

I have also been getting this error occasionally. It looks like you need to increase the size of the phpbb_sessions table in the database, maybe try doubling the size of it.

Thanks Jim, that makes sense. The workmanship on the stock is unbelievable, layers of laminated wood perfectly matched and joined together. Unfortunately the one I have has had a hard life, the previous owner(s) didn't take care of it. Plus I got no string, cocking stirrup, or bolt to connect the li...

What kind of scope do you have? If it is an Excalibur scope I'm sure they'll make good on the deal. My Drop Zone scope is 4+ years old now, has survived thousands of shots, and is still going strong.

Question about old Dave Benedict crossbow

I recently picked up an old Dave Benedict "Gun Bow" model crossbow with recurve fiberglass limbs. What's strange about these limbs is that there are not one but two carved tips at the end of each limb, an inner carved tip and an outer carved tip. I didn't get a string with it, and am confu...

These guys are shooting themselves in the foot by alienating one archer against another. I bet most people who shoot crossbows also shoot traditional archery equipment. I certainly do, and enjoy both. Here is the situation I face. In Illinois I cannot hunt deer with a crossbow because I am not "...

I used some heavy duty cloth my wife had laying around, borrowed my wife's sewing machine, and custom made one. I double layered the cloth for strength. Not a fancy sewing job but it works and has held up well.

I bought some yellow plastic-coated screw-in steel hooks at Home Depot. They are about 6 inches long. I screw two of them parallel about 3 inches apart into the joists in the basement and hang one crossbow from each pair. Keeps them out of the way but readily available when needed, they just lift of...

I have a Miata convertible and use a waterproofing product called Starbrite (available at boat stores) on the convertible top. It's not really cheap but a bit goes a long ways and it works. After applying this stuff to fabric water beads up and rolls off without penetrating the fabric.
