Re: hunting stool for inside pop up blind

The most important part is the height that you sit. I can attest to this....yeah...that's right...I sent a bolt right through the corner of my blind, right under my shooting window. Re: Maximus Crossbows

There was actually an ad for Maximus Crossbows in the back of my Ontario Out of Doors Magazine!! Whats up with that? There is no ad for excalibur even though they are an Ontario based company!!! Shouldn't the OFAH be supporting local business over Chinese knock offs??? Careful there Pinpoin...

Re: The problem with new pups...

Yeah....nice labs fer sure. My dog of choice would be either a lab or retriever, so great mix as far as I'm concerned. Hope you have years of fun. My parents have/had a couple of black labs...1 left....they are great dogs.

Re: Curious who uses aluminum versus carbon shafts

I caught them in Carleton Place this past weekend...it was pretty cool to see and get pictures of. :D There was a nice sized crowd out on the streets.

Hi Mikdor, Your brace height should sit between an inch to an inch1/2. The newer bows have marks on the rail to indicate proper brace height. You are correct about twisting the string to reduce or increase brace height, depending on the need. You got a pic of your older bow? I shoot a 2000 Exocet an...

Old Exocet, I hunt 64A and as I walked the perimeter of a 20 acre or so hay/clover field yesterday, I counted 9 scrapes. Nothing huge, all around 2' x 2'. Gotta get my ground blind set up.

Jamie, I've read the rule of thumb is to let them hang in no more than 10 degrees C. If you can get it field dressed and hung in the shade like Woody says, at that temp, you will be good to go. Hanging it will keep the yotes away too.

Good luck,
