Re: OT - where did the years go

Thanks for the replies and encouragement. Vixenmaster, I couldn't be any prouder. So far he has exceeded my expectations by far! I was worried his small physical stature might be a problem for him, but he has done things I couldn't imagine (like "fireman carry" a 200lb fellow recruit a qua...

OT - where did the years go

Seems like the years have passed so quickly since I joined this forum it's hard to put it all into perspective. So many of the members I came to know and respect are no longer with us some having just shifted away from being active (like I have to a large extent) and some passing away. Gary L., Wood...

New custom string arrived yesterday

I recently posted about all the troubles that plagued me this past season and Vixenmaster was nice enough to send me a spare string for the old Phoenix at no charge. I might add, that I'm picky about strings. The first few years I owned the Phoenix I shot fastflight strings and replaced the li...

Re: EBAY Scam

eBay is not a good place to sell anymore. It is actually not very good for buying, either. The scams are ruining it for everyone.
I would watch that buyer carefully and see if they try to sell the bow they scammed you out of. Long shot, but it might provide proof they did receive it.

Re: OT - A year to forget

...... And by the way, I have replaced some fiberglass rods in ground blinds if that is all that's needed. My son has 4 ladder stands for us and I have 2 ground blinds....... Unfortunately it was a falling tree limb that ripped a hole big enough to walk through. I think the fiberglass rods may stil...

OT - A year to forget

Hello all, Haven't posted for a loooong time, but thought I'd update everyone on my situation(s). I had troubles with my eyesight (corneal ulcer) earlier in the year, but those problems are now corrected. Still don't have perfect vision in the affected eye, but it's good enough now to function norma...

Re: excel string

The first few years I used "fastflight" type strings after I purchased my Phoenix. I had to exchange 2 sets of limbs because of spliners. No dry fires, the splinters just appeared for no apparent reason. When I installed the third set of limbs I decided to use dacron strings to see if I co...
