I couldn't live like that. I have a handgun on my at all times, when I'm not at work. I have a permit, but firearms registration is not mandatory in this country. I think some states do; the stupid ones. Very few, though.

Yeah, my parka had to be watched closely for stirng contact. I had to use a long armguard most of the time. No longer a worry. Any of you Far North guys/gals have any problems relating to freezing on your crossbow? Just curious; though I doubt there is. Many of my friends have taken muskox with comp...

My point exactly, Radio! My Carter release-aid would've cost me $120.00 if I hadn't been a writer. The new Hoyt Carbon Matrix bow cost around $1600.00! The other high-end Hoyt's run around $900.00 and once fully outfitted the price jumps even more. I was used to shooting longer axle-to-axle bows, to...

Vertical bows these days look less and less like bows. Most crossbows still look very much the same. I like that. You can spend a fortune trying to keep up with the latest gear with vertical compounds.

I can shoot right-handed in a pinch, but I'm primarily southpaw. I shoot an Exomag with the traditional stock, though. Improvise! Or, you could create your our design, there is a market.

Congrats, Laura, I am glad you have found the joys of the archery experience! It's nice to take game, up close and personal, without breaking nature's silence! Yes, sir, Hoss! I like Excalibur's recurve limbs; you can change strings and get back in the game quickly. Bill has a great company, produci...

Strictly Horizontal!

I've been an archer most of my life. I started out in the late 70"s as a young boy with a recurve. In the early 80's -when compounds were legalized- My father bought me a Ben Pearson Bushmaster. I've been an outdoor writer for the past 8 years and primarily write about archery and bowhunting. I...

GA Alligator Hunt 2005

Well, I finally got drawn for a GA gator hunt! I didn't get the 10-12' gator I wanted, but taking a 7 footer is far better than going home empty-handed. Not bad for a first gator. Here's a link to some of the photos and the home video. The resolution had to be downgraded for the internet, but it's s...
