"new" glass for my vixen
Picked up a nice used older korean made 2.5x20 horton crossbow scope off ebay for about $18 shipped . Seems well made and is compact and lighter than my drop zone by a good bit . From the large gap between the 30 and 40 yard crosshairs i'm guessing its for about a 250 fps bow . Should be about perfe...

Re: Opening morning airgun doe
Very cool! What is the furthest distance you would feel comfortable shooting at a deer and still have the ke to kill? What about target shooting, furthest distance you can get good groups? I've been messing with pcp airguns the last few years but no big bores yet. It sure is fun squirrel or starlin...

Re: Opening morning airgun doe
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure I'd want to try to get one to 2,900 psi with a hand pump. My Discovery .22 is bad enough at 2,000 psi. How many shots can you get on one fill? BTW - I noticed a .50 smoothbore (with interchangable chokes) in the last Pyramid Air catalog I got. Not sure how it...

Re: Opening morning airgun doe
Thanks guys . There are some very powerfull airguns out there . a shop here in MI makes a 72 caliber that's several times more powerful than my off the shelf .50 . also cost about what 3-4 of these would  One of these days I'd like to get a 408 or 500 express from them http://www.extremebigbore...

Opening morning airgun doe
Didn't make it out for archery but was not going to miss the 15th .Sort of a rough morning , hurt my back yesterday with my hand pump .took a long time getting around and heading out in the am . The hike in was a bit rough but the trail had been recently cleared so that was defiantly nice . Got to m...

Re: Carry options
The one thing that I don't own is a sling. My crossbow, shotgun, and muzzle loader are always carried in my hands. More than one deer has regretted that decision and come home with me because my weapon was in my hands and not on my shoulder. Bob I'm with Bob, I'd rather hunt to my spot and exposing...

Re: Carry options
I carry mine in using a Claw Contour sling. I love it, once its on your shoulder it just "sticks" and you are not constantly having to reset it. I highly recommend it. http://www.quakeinc.com/Store-View.php?id=645 Yup best carry sling I have ever had . Definitely recommend them . They hav...

Re: New Meijer store opening here!
The Meijers we have in Ohio don't really carry much archery equipment they have a little camo clothing, ammunition, some broadheads and a few arrows. Sorry. Maybe you guys will get lucky and get one of the Field & Stream stores we had one put in the Columbus Ohio area. It is one of my favorite ...

Re: Looking for scope recommendations
The EOTech 512 xbow is fantastic in low light and it has unlimited eye relief . If you need magnification there are some affordable magnifiers . There is enough room on the excalibur scope rail if you decide to use one . http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j283/matte20/IMG00609-20150630-1636_zpsovyr3s...
