Who scouts ?

Being unable to sleep and computer savie -- I thought a great topic would be " "WHO" scouts this late in the year - now that deer season is over in our part of the world? WE have no ice for fishing - no snow for rabbit hunting - so what can we do ? Having knowledge of late season esca...

Re: Monday Goose Hunt

Nice birds !

The all come at once seems to be the norm this time of season everywhere !

Had the same problem too; then couldn't load the gun fast enough or retrieve them before being attacked again !

Almost had to shoot them in self defense !!! LOL

WOW

Ya got to love it when a plan comes together !!!!

How rare is it when you have a picture of a deer on a trail camera - decide you want to take it -- and DO just that !

A hunters wet dream for sure !

Re: Tink's smokin sticks?

They are excellent for the cover scent you need; but try the Buck Bomb - Doe in Estrous - Tinks puts out too! Canadian Tire sells it although $2 cheaper at Walmart; if the shelvs aren't bare by now . It brought me many a buck this year , including my "hog" of a 12 point this season. Good l...

Re: my 2011 hunt

Thanks everyone! No ; nothing got to the deer overnite. That is what kept me tossing and turning most the night . The picture was the exact way he wentdown, looks like he just laid down and expired. Half was put into kabbassa, while the other went for a christmas party. Wasp jackhammers - 1 3/4 inch...

my 2011 hunt

Here is a picture of the 12 point I took on Nov.22, 2011 with my bow in Port Carling. Rattled him in to about 25 yards; hit him a little front of where it should have been. He went about 60 yards and down he went. My first retrieve where the animal didn;t go down within view. He weighed in at 258 lb...

Re: Ladder Stands

We are a Walmart , bargan hinting group ! For less than $225.00 you can get a Remington twelve foot ladder stand - they say it is a two man stand , but ; with our experience not-one of us are less than 260 lbs. The extra space is useful to stretch out and relax ! IMO opinion twelve feet high is good...

I am with bignasty

We quarter them , cheese cloth and in the fridge.

It does cramp the beer supply a bit ; but ice in the cooler is cheap!!!!

Re: Nicknames

I got my handle by using single shot guns! Whenever older relatives would retire from hunting they always seem to hand me down thier single shot guns .Coeys etc. My favourite toy is my german made top load 22 calibre rifle. My father said he use to shoot ducks as they landed in the pond where they l...
