I would guess you have spine issues. Although both of those shafts at 20 or 22 inches would be like shooting logs, so maybe they are too "stiff"? Also, at 30 yards with a 7-8" drift, I would think that would have to be a pretty stiff crosswind causing that, but maybe not. The only thi...

Here's a trick that works pretty well. Take an empty 35MM film canister and drill a hole in the lid and one in the bottom a little bit bigger than your arrow. Stuff the canister with some absorbent material, foam works pretty well. Saturate the material with your lube of choice. Just push your arrow...

There's several things you could try. Get yourself some 3/16" or so shock cord, make a loop and tie it around your foot stirrup and pull it back to cock the bow. Sort of "dry-fire" practice without actually dry firing your bow. It should catch on the claw mechanism and then you can pr...

Lancaster Archery has both Hunter and Field target faces, as well as targets for the Animal Round. Good luck in Oklahoma. I'm shooting in the Dogwood Invitational this weekend. It's an International Round. I'm shooting in the Unlimited Recurve Class.

As Rich stated get the 1.25" for 22 series Aluminum, GT II's or Power Bolts. Also, if you fletch with 2" Blazers or similar get the 7" long ones and cut them in two. Like getting two dozen for the price of one, and looks pretty good.

Dagrizz
Read my post in the "Classifieds". These nine arrows are all the crossbow stuff I have left, as I had to help out a family member this past fall with some medical bills. They all have flat nocks. I would be happy to send them, IF he can really use them.

Best regards

I have found in my own testing, and also through an extensive search on this forum and others, that through a complicated series of equations, calculations, experimentation, and general cogitation, that for Excaliburs it seems that 2.7grs. per pound of weight pull of the bow seems to be the optimum ...

It seems that anywhere from around 2.5gr. to 2.8gr. per pound of draw weight seems to be the optimum arrow weight for these bows. This is derived from my own results and from others on this forum whose data I derived from searching the forum and coming up with an average. For my Vixen 2.7 seems to b...

I'd like to see a good three/five pin fiber optic pin sight. Optional would be fine, as the scopes are optional. The current front sight is fine, but I find these old eyes of mine don't pick up the upper and lower posts that well.

I'm descended from "old" money and never really had to work. However, having said that, I have spent most of my life learning how to manage all that money and turn it into more money. No mean feat, I assure you. It's tough to be rich. There are so many people depending on me for their live...

Bob One thing I did was glue about an 1/8" shim on the inside vertical face of the stationary jaw. This seems to allow the blade a little deeper depth for arrow shafts, and a much cleaner cut. This may have been just an anomaly with my particular saw. I have found these little saws handy for lo...

Griz: I guess what is obvious to some, is not obvious to all. My futile attempt at levity clearly missed the mark. I forget, sometimes, at just how one dimensional, and literal the internet can be. My comment was made with tongue firmly embedded in cheek. That being said, I hear many lament the clos...
