Re: Had a visitor... *update

Congratulations! That's a great looking buck and nice having the before pics. Love the looks of its head with that grey face and the brown cap up top. Nice swollen neck too!

Re: First hunt of the season

I meant to mention I was using the Rage 2 blade 2 inch cut. I saw a prior post with some complaints with this head. I have found if you keep a fresh o ring on it holds the blades in fine. An older o ring and not so much. I have been very pleased with this head. I just pay attention to the o rings an...

First hunt of the season

I finally made it out for my first hunt this season. I saw a deer at about 100 yards walking at a steady pace and angling away from me. I grunted 3 times and that was enough to get its attention. It turned and walked straight to me. At about 10 yards it turned broadside to walk around some brush. As...

That peddled back nicely :D
I think I would have been shooting at the other side of the target with multiple targets
I can still say I have not done that "yet".

Re: SE GA STUD!!!

Nice Job on the hog and the video. I know those big hogs are alot more difficult to get out of the woods than a turkey! I swore I would never shoot one over 150 pounds again! My biggest field dressed 282lbs at Charlie Elliot WMA.

Re: MY Quiver Mount Build

Looks good Taz. I like the idea of the handle and how it offsets it to the side. It looks to me if you took a hand file and made a flat surface along the top of your mount the Excal mount would fit in a little more stable versus on the rounded surface. If you have a machinist buddy he could mill it ...

Re: Danny Miller Top Mount Quiver

I was asked for a picture of Danny's Top Mount. Thought others might be wondering just what it is, as I did, until I got one. So here it is: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/wsp617/P3190116_zps0a5a93d0.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/wsp617/P3190118_zps580d1d84.jpg Tink Glad to See Danny...

Re: Bunny jumping

GREAT picture Pyd!
Its been a long time since I've done any rabbit hunting. When I did it we were our own dogs high stepping into the briar thickets and kicking them up on our own. 2-3 year old clear cuts were great for this. I never got to do it in the snow.

Re: Boredom= Matrix top mount quiver bracket

That will work for you. I see the outer two bolts appear to have nylock nuts which help keeping the nuts from vibrating off. I see your center bolt is not using a nylock nut. If you have not used any I would get some loc-tite to put on the threads of that bolt and nut to help keep it from vibrating ...
