The hard part is holding the buck long enough for the mold to set. :D

Re: Hello

Who makes or sells the best string?(need to pick-up a spare or two) Thanks to All !! Welcome Shaftthrower...

Re: Thanks Boo

Don helped me a lot too when we were trying to get to the bottom of the Fusion vane / Arizona EZ Fletcher issues. He was trying to satisfy his curiosity about the issue while helping me get to the bottom of it to satisfy my curiosity, but he went above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks Boo! Your t...

Re: Trail Cam Comparison

I finally got some cheapola trailcams for last season. It was a learning experience. Now I'd like some more that are reasonably priced, have IR, quick capture, and most importantly, really good battery life. I don't plan on winning photo contests with trail cam pics. I just want to see what's in my ...

Re: transporting my equinox on a 4-wheeler

I use the Kolpin ratcheting gun holders and wrap a bungie around at both ends. That works fine. If the xbow interferes with steering then try moving the holders around using the xbow as your guide until you find where it doesn't interfere. Or, you can try mounting it on the back rack of the ATV. Als...

Re: What now?

This just sucks Ray! I know how you're feeling right now. But as Wabi and others have mentioned, most times when one door closes another one opens. That happened to me in '93. I was the rising star in a company and had learned everything I could and worked my way up as far as I could go. So for a ye...

Re: Brass insert size??

Big Sam, Let's back up a second here and say Welcome! I didn realize this was your first post. I'm building a batch of the GTs now. This build got sidelined this winter but I hope to get them done this week. They're a very popular arrow around here. Lot's of people use them and really like them. I'm...

Re: Brass insert size??

Goldtip makes brass inserts up to 110 grain I think. But they also make screw in add-on weights that s rew into the back of the inserts if 110 gr isn't enought for you. The .300" they make for their GT Lazer II arrows also fit the Firebolts perfectly.

Re: How to remove the insert from a carbon arrow for lumenoks.

I use Pydpiper's method and it works great. Just don't cook that long screw or threaded rod! If the .301" Luminocks are too tight try removing more residue inside the shaft. They should be tight though. If they're loose they could fall out or work only intermittently. Like Bstout says, they fit...

Nice job! That should work nicely. But why didn't you just buy the Groundpounder Camera Mount? :D

Re: New Puppy

Thanks guys! Dave: For sure I'll keep you and Liette updated. Thanks again for hooking us up with Ann. Thanks to Liette I've been working a lot with PeeWee and he's really turned around. It seems like all the training my daughter and wife worked on with him kicked in once I started working with him....

Re: shot thru mesh question

Thanks for getting back to us on that. I've been meaning to try some shots on paper from the GB mesh but haven't had a chance to yet. I just drop the mesh when I'm hunting. It's nice to know I can shoot the Spitfires through the mesh if I really had to.

New Puppy

We went to pick out our new puppy today. LondonDave had posted in the Trading Post about these puppies a couple of weeks ago. Dave and his wife were very helpful and I owe them a big thank you! "Moxie" is a Weimaraner / Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix. I'm hoping for a strong pointer and retr...

Re: shot thru mesh question

I would think tight would be better. Just make sure you use a cut on contact broadhead. No Mech's or hybrids That is not quite true. I have tested NAP Spitfire mechanicals through screen windows and had no point of impact change nor did they open early. It was like there was no screen with the arro...
