Re: FOC too long for Micro/Quill?

Also just to let you know, your micro may not have enough energy to open the big blades of the FOC. Mine didn't. Shot 2 deer with the micro and foc. Both double lung shots. One from 25 and the other from 35. Both arrows would not pass throught hide on the way out. I've also got a Vortex and it chro...

Re: Does anybody have their Air-Brakes yet ?

I put them on my Micro and can tell no difference in noise reduction. Save your money.

FOC too long for Micro/Quill?

Just installed NAP foc on my micro. It sure does stick out far. But is this safe? Can I still use this setup?

Not impressed with Air Brakes on Micro.

I just installed the Air Brakes system on my new Mirco 335, and granted my hearing is not the best in the world, but I cannot tell any difference in sound when shooting with it or not. Wife said the same thing. The micro is amazingly quiet compared to my Vortex, and from the advertisements, I though...

Re: Anybody here order from Crossbow Experts?

My micro arrived yesterday and they even threw in 3 extra bolts!
Boy this thing is sweet. Compared to my vortex, this thing is TINY.
You have to hold one of these to believe it.

Anybody here order from Crossbow Experts?

I ordered the new Micro from Crossbow Experts.com over the weekend. Called to confirm it was in stock. Still have not received a shipping notification.
Any of you guys ever ordered from them? Ever had an issue?

Re: FOC's on my quills.

I use FOC's with my Vortex and I get pass through on deer and then some. The only thing I have noticed is that It is accurate out to 40 yards but at 50 it starts going all over the place. As long as you are shooting 20,30,40 yards, you should be fine. BTW... Just ordered my micro last night. Can't w...

Dalton Speed wax no more?

Can't find Dalton speed wax anywhere and their website is down. I guess they are no more?
Anyone suggest an alternative?

Firebolts with lumenoks question

Has anyone tried the factory made firebolts with lumenoks already installed?
Any issues with them?
Do they change your point of impact any?

Thank you Munch! - Top Mounted Quiver Mount installed

A huge thanks to Munch for my quiver mount. This guy is great to deal with. Fast shipping and a top notch product to boot. Feels and balances well on my vortex. Was a bit concerned with my rangefinder being blocked by the posts, but to my delight, they do not interfere. Installation was a snap after...

Re: 170 grain heads ok for firebolts???

Yesterday, I sacrificed one of my 170 grain Nap F.O.C. heads. This is what I found. If it is a new, never shot head, it flies exactly like a field tip. However, once it hit my mckenzie target and the foam/rubber material deformed the blade retention springs, the blades would not close as tightly on ...

Re: 170 grain heads ok for firebolts???

Update. Not only did my Vortex/firebolts shoot the 170 grain heads fine, it LOVED them. Best consistent grouping I've experienced. Farthest distance was 40 yards. Put it on the chrono, and I'm getting 310fps, which is plenty for that weight. Very satisfied indeed. Was shooting 170 grain practice tip...

170 grain heads ok for firebolts???

Can firebolts adequately shoot 170 grain broadheads or should I seek out something with a little more spine?

Re: Broadhead troubles???

My vortex LOVES the 125 grain NAP Gobbler getter. Shoots exactly like my field points out to 40 yards.
