Trouble getting Fletching to stick to painted shaft

I have been painting the back 5 to 7 inches of my arrow shafts for some time now and never had a problem in the past. Like to use white paint and always seemed like Rust-Oleum Appliance epoxy paint worked the best. Lately thou seems like the fletching does not want to stick to it. If I glue straight...

Re: fletching question

Here is a post made by a friend of mine . I call him friend the same as I call many here a friend . He does this with all the arrows he fletches andsay it works better than spine testing. Using the RAM spine tester works well but he says this works even better. This video is on a guy using a golf cl...

Re: making arrows ?'s

Go to Hobby Lobby and get some glue tips. It will help you control the amount of glue you put on each vane. You will have to trim it a bit to fit the tip. Gorilla Blue top works very well . The best I have found it what Dorge sells at Aerovane and than Jerry has his at South Shore archery both set u...

Re: what glue to use on flat nocks?

On the flat knock if you are going to remove it you can take a plastic bag like you get from wal-mart put it over the end of the shaft and push the knock through the plastic into the shaft. it will make a nice tight fit . then you can remove the knock and put the lighted knocks in the same way if th...

Re: 0.001" or 0.003"

If I remember correctly seem like you have to get above .005 to make a difference and the true is 99% of the people are not a good enough shot to tell the difference.
Now when I say .005 that means the shaft will have a total of .010 that is the way most companies rate there arrows.

Jerry does an awesome job. So does Danny Miller.
