Re: Vortex w/ Parker Scope (Not consistent grouping)

I have recently bought a Vortex and a friend give me $150 Parker scope that has Red & Green Illuminated circle dots. I can't get it to shoot consistent. I sighted in at 20 yds and get good consistency at that range, but 30 yds the group gets out to about 3" and 4-5" groups at 40 yds. ...

Re: Passthrough

Today I took out the Quad 400 with BOB to sight her in. I started at 20 yards and the top set of crosshairs on my scope, BANG dead center. Back to the thirty yard line and the second set of crosshairs in my scope, BANG 6 inches low and to the right. I was like WTF! So I decided to sight the bow in a...

Most hunting setups shoot slower.

Most bows rate 315-340 ish but really only shoot 240-270 ish maybe with a 400-450 gr arrow.

Bro I get the chills every time I see that deer in your avatar.

Re: Passthrough

I am using the stock carbon arrows that come with the bow (which I have no idea how heavy they are) and 125 grain 2 blade rage broadheads. Does anyone in the know, know how much those arrows now weigh? Smart me I buy a crossbow and know nothing of its components.

Re: Passthrough

The reason I asked was because a few years back I had the the top of the line BUCKMASTERS G2 bow 32 inch axle to axle. I had it professionally set up and everything. Every animal I shot with that bow I never once had a pass through and I know for certain one shot was through a does soft side at 25 y...

Passthrough

I am a newbie as one can tell. My question is this, What is the minimum fps a crossbow needs to have a pass-through? My Barnett Quad 400 is boasting 345fps. I am using 2 blade 125 rage expandables. Any thoughts, I respect that this is an excalibur forum but please be fair. :-)

Re: Anyone use a red dot?

One came with with my Barnett, I took it off and I just bought the 4x32 multi reticle instead. When you look through the scope on the red/green dot scope the dots are blurry. Looks like I might be selling mine. It has the twist knob for red or green dots.
