yeah don, I seen that when I just got back here....I read it too fast ....Bob, all respect Sir, but he's talking about SPINE indexing to improve accuracy by finding the stiffest side of the arrow, or spine.

the spin test is to make sure you have no wobble with the BH....which will give you fits trying to get any good accuracy if you don't....as to weighing arrows, that just lets you know everything is the same from arrow to arrow....

I had an archery shop do some blazers on 6 arrows, stuck them too far back and the vane was contacting something and pushing the rear of the arrow up....now that I fletch my own now I put them 1" from the end of the arrow without any contact....

how many extra grains of weight can a few drops of water on an arrow weigh ??....you would need to be carrying your arrows nock side up in a raging down pour to get any water in that tiny nock hole !!....besides when you launched that arrow all the water would stay put as the arrow would be sent dow...

nope did not miss anything, I was just stating that each and every crossbow made has an certain arrow weight that was used to get that stated advertised speed from for there ad's....plain and simple, you just need to use THAT arrow weight stated for YOUR xbow and shoot it to see if the speed for you...

i think advertised speed is with a certain weight arrow from said xbow.... .... I am not really after arrow comparisons... ... I am curious about what others have found where actual and advertised are one and the same... Anthony :) yes advertised speed with Excalibur crossbows are with a 350gr arro...

I still have the dozen I started out with but one....it is still stuck in the tree when I missed the first time with my exocet 200 on the 5th deer ever shot at ....depends on how hard you hit a rock, at the most I just need a quick buzz with the dremel and all is good again ....

my first 4 deer I shot, two one year and two the 2nd year when I first got my exocet 200....was with the same arrow and slick trick, just put in new blades and back in quiver ....
