Re: What Type Of Rain Gear Do You Carry With You?

If you wait for the sky-water to quit here in Lotus Land , you'll likely miss the vast majority of the season! They don't call it a Rain Forest without cause!! Helly Hansen Impertech jacket and bib pants are THE way to go. Extremely light (roll up into a very small package) yet a LOT more dura...

Re: Sighting scope

Here's what I did... will depend whether your scope has a Speed Ring on it or not whether it will work for you. Shoot at 20 yards using the 20 yard chevron (or crosshairs). Back out to 40 yards, aim at the target WITH THE SAME CROSSHAIR and shoot. At the 40 yard distance, hold the crosshairs where y...

More Fun with Camo-Form

I've harbored a desire for a Ruger 10-22 ever since one of my college Buddies got one way back when. Fun little gun to shoot, reliable as all get out and Accurate to boot! So when one recently came up for sale at a decent price, I simply HAD to bite! LOL! The rifle came with the action and barrel ca...

... In 2004 I booked a muskox hunt with a reputable Eastern Ontario outfitter who specialized in arctic hunts. ... What is their name? I lived in the Western Arctic for a considerable period of time. Had to occasion to hunt musk-ox several times. The local Inuit knew the Regs, I made damn sure I di...

Re: excaliburs ? what do you own & shoot

Ran with the Ibex derf mentioned above last season, and it served me well taking both a buck and doe whitetail. This year moved into an ExoMax. A tad heavier and a little more bow to move around in the bush, but Blistering Fast, and Very Accurate! Here's the bow in " Battle Dress " http://...

Dammit! I Was Warned!!

" These will spin true out beyond fifty yards " is exactly what Big John wrote to me as he was sending off the arrows I'd ordered... Out early this afternoon to see what these Beauties would shoot like. 2.5" high at 20 yards. One adjustment. Bang On. Move to 30 yards. Bang On. Move to...

Re: I have a question about shooting longer distances

When practicing with the Exomax this summer, I was shooting out to 60 yards on a regular basis. Thought " What the heck " and tried setting it up as per the following: http://gallery.fishbc.com/albums/Ironnoggin/Scope_Set_Up.jpg 20 through 50 are BANG-ON through the range. At 60, I found I...
