Re: Equinox questions
I also bought my Equinox from a Excalibur dealer but in early 2011 and it had a full camo rail and riser with a S5 system.

Re: Mono-Pod or Bi-Pod / which brand ?
I could not find any bi-pods around town so I made my mine from 6 foot plastic coated steel tubing garden stakes (cut to my height) available at Canadian Tire and other garden centers. You can find many online links Googling on how different people made theirs using these garden stakes. Here are two...

Re: Weight reduction on the front end
and does this mod void warranty? i figured if you removed s5s and d pads that your limb warranty would be void. I don't see why warranty would be voided as some Excaliburs do not have D-pads or a S5 like system. I just read though the thread and nobody here said anything about removing a S5 system....

Re: Weight reduction on the front end
One last question, did any of you that removed your D-pads have to re-sight your bows afterwards?

Re: Weight reduction on the front end
Question, does removing the D-pads and bar increase the bow's vibration? If so by much?
I have the adjustable STS sound suppression system (an adjustable version of the S5) on my bow. Thinking of removing the D-pads and bar to lighten the front end.

Re: 3D Crossbow suggestions?
I shoot 3D year round using an Equinox for just the reason VixChix mentions....faster, flatter can get you higher scores. So if your yardage estimation is a little out it makes little difference if any after the shot. My arrows, carbon, weigh 365 grains. I reserve my strings using a copy of Boo's Se...

Re: Where's Waldo/Matrix?
Als Corner Store in Arnprior Ontario just north of Ottawa is getting a Matrix shipment in shortly. I have been told that this this store in the biggest mover of Excaliburs in eastern Ontario. I will be checking the bow out after the 26th with my Christmas money in my pocket (just in case I feel a ne...

Re: should I wait?
Boo wrote:The Equinox is tried and true. X3 Love mine. Use it for 3D tournaments. Picked it for the speed. With its flat trajectory, I can be out a little bit with my distance estimate and will still be inside the 10 ring As for waiting, if you do not need the bow right away, why not wait. Best kee...

Re: Scopes?
I have been using a twilight dlx scope since it came out the middle of July last year and had no issues. Very bright and clear. Use it year round at 3D tournaments. Can easily see the rings on a black bear or turkey in low light conditions. Targets can be out to 50 yards. Extra good, since I know Ex...

Re: Excalibur flexion concern.
I noticed that video a while back. I only shoot 3D tournaments with my Equinox and wanted to quiet shot vibration on the bow as soon as I got it. without affecting its speed. Here is what I did; heat shrink on the arrow retainer, Limbsaver Tentacle Wrap over the stirrup, Bowjax Super Maxjax Dampener...

Indoor 3D tournament Ottawa area December 2nd
For those in the Ottawa area here is an early Christmas present. Flèche d'Argent de Hull’s is having a 3D indoor tournament that will be held in the École Secondaire de l'Ile (255 St. Redempteur, Gatineau, Quebec) on Sunday December 2, 2012. Registration, I believe, is 8:30 to10:30AM. Crossbows will...
