I'm horrible at stalking as well, I couldn't sneak up on a deer decoy!
From my limited experience, if there's mature does around to breed, I don't think he'll go far. He's there for a reason I think.

Good luck!

I cock it before my walk to the stand in the p.m with a bolt in place, but in the a.m just the aid is in place.

a few pics of our kids moose hunting

here's a few pics my wife took while we were out moose hunting. They were "tracking" moose. I explained why we can't shoot mommy and daddy moose (AGAIN) so to look for baby moose tracks. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t302/hannahcarlo/_IGP0868.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t30...

I'm using gorilla glue and it's fantastic so far. I pulled mine from a tree root after the deer pass through and never even budged the insert. the root was splintered but still more restriction then a block.

Off a bench, I can keep a group of around 4 inches at 50 yards with broadheads. I don't shoot the same target on the block, I shoot at individual circles so I'm guestimating. It gets costly on arrows shooting at the same circle. I managed to Robin Hood twice this summer at 40 yards but swear to not ...

when shooting from a bench, I use a harris bipod and cradle the rear of the stock much like a rifle when it's in a sand bag. The foreend of the excals are big enough I can't reach my thumb up high enough.

Thank God!

My buddy shot a big doe last week, and she went 896 feet on the GPS with a double lung hit, although she ran on a skidder trail, not through the brush per say. She was tough none the less.

It makes sense the exit hole being lower will leak more. So does this really mean it doesn't matter wether we use mechanicals or fixed as long as the exit is lower? I don't want to start a war by any means, just wondering other than possible accuracy gains, does it matter which head to use? How abou...

I like the flat black idea for say a 3D x-bow with a silver or red limbs with a cool set of colors on a BOO string. Just esthetics of course! Throw in a Williams peep site, could catch a lot of looks.
