Re: Feeding winter wildlife
Just check , it was January 27 / 2011 . I stopped feeding because cracked corn is hard on their digestive system and they were wandering near the Highway.

Spreading cracked corn down the fence and leaving the bucket drew in after dark deer. Seeing the tracks, i put up my trail camera. During the day , turkeys ca...

field dressing deer tool tips
Over the years , we try to find easier methods and equipment to field dress deer more efficiently . First : Butt Out ; a tool to pull the intestines out , tie them off , so they don't make a crappy mess. Second : Swingblade knife , use the wide blade to start up the crotch. Rotate the blade and just...

Ontario controlled deer hunt
Our group had a slow start to the week , the warm weather and full moon kept the deer inactive. At 5.30 am. going to our stands: we spooked 2 deer feeding in a harvested bean field. The full moon on yellow ground projected the deers image. One of the guys shot a nice 8 pointer on Thursday ,when we s...

Human Scent
There are many products that mask human scent . If I leave my scent ,( sweat from my hand ) on my ladder stand rung ; how long will it last ? Will the rain or snow dissolve the scent ? Just curious about being scent free. Ray
