Had help. Thanks to those that are helping me learn this deer hunting thing. I feel like an apprentice all over again. Gonna be hard for me to explain to my wife why I need a new crossbow when this one more than does what is needed.
Crap. never thought of that now did I. Oh well.

Score two for team Exomax
The newbie scores twice on opening day. Got the first one, recocked the bow with the second one watching, got him two. Would post a pic, but don't know how. Oh, I almost forgot. Who care if I need to buy me clothes from the kiddie section.

Re: Any thoughts
Think I've narrowed it down to the 355 or 335. I really do like the Micro. Pick on me cause I'm short. go for it. Fill your boots. Next time you sit on an Air Transat plane going on holidays, just remember. I've got lots of leg room. Now who's laughing. hehehehehehehe!!!

Re: Any thoughts
I do like both the 380 and the Micro. But... I am only 5'5" and in my 50's now. As I like to keep my equipment long term I am leaning towards the 355. Basically same speed and power I have now, not much more poundage to cock, shorter pull. Also the shorter Matrix bows are easier to hold steady ...

Any thoughts
Just got the ok to replace my Exomax Crossbow. Can't decide. Matrix 355, Matrix 380, but gosh darn, the Micro 335 is so cool and small. As much as I like the Micro, I do like the power of my Exomax. I have shot the Matrix 380 and the Micro. Both are great.

Re: Hernia
Well, been six weeks since hernia operation. Used the stringing aid and rope cocker and put the string back on my Exomax. That all went pretty well. I didn't fully cock it though. Felt good just getting it back out of it's case again.

Re: Love shooting my oldie but goldie Exomag
Still shooing my Exomax. I do find the Matrix and the Micro easier to aim do to lighter weight and being shorter. But the Exomax will likely out live me. Just hope that cocking it will be fine after I heal from hernia operation.

Hernia
Been almost four weeks since the hernia operation. I must say that the first week was less than fun. Feeling better now all the time. Doc said no lifting for six weeks. I feel like I could put the string on my Exomax and try to cock it. But I do NOT want a repeat of said operation and the first week...

Re: Factory Trigger Mod
Cool post. Love the pics to see the workings of the trigger unit. But think I will leave me Exomax trigger as is. Although I think it could be a bit smoother to release, I shoot it with great accuracy. These are dangerous instruments, and I prefer to have more margin of safety. I know the engagement...

Re: 335 vs 380 vs 405 limb and engineering stresses
Got me a used Exomax (the guy had it sighted in). So really it was new. I use the Easton 2219 aluminum bolts with 150 grain boltcutters. I know that I loose some speed with the heavier bolts. But the accuracy is top notch, and it is easier on the limbs. My friend (he has a Matrix 380) said the Exoma...

Re: Hernia Operation.
Drove my wife to Toronto airport last night. I'm a hurtin puppy this morning. Even neede to take 2 tylenol 3s. This will be a full day in bed. The drive wasn't too bad. But getting in and out of the Buick Enclave was Hell. Plus my nuts are swollen big time. Have to walk bow legged. Sotting upright i...

Re: Hernia Operation.
I, been off the pain meds since Wednesday at 8o'clock. Getting in or out of bed hurts like hell. Layinh flat or recloning is fairly painless. Coughing is a new dimention of pain. So was my little dog deciding to jimp on my lap. Just wish the swellimg would start to.go down.
