Re: x-act broadhead question

They work great, between everyone in our hunting circle we harvested 10 deer with them from every ethical angle possible,we did not loose one deer last bow season.

Re: Old model Axiom questions

Not to much difference as far as weight(physical) ,stock style becomes personal preference I like the traditional stock over thumb hole but that's just me. Either way it's a winner (it's an excal!) and somewhat of a collectors bow as they only made that version of the axiom for one year,go buy it!

Re: Old model Axiom questions

That is the version of the axiom I shoot and like it a lot. It's basically a phoenix with no dissipator bars.(more or less) I would think that $450-$500 range would be more in line price wise.

Re: x-act broadheads

Hey Scott, That was the advice I got from Danny miller when i purchased then, apparently there can be issues with them deploying in that situation. So we are careful to watch our angles. We just had another harvest with one Thursday,no problems at all. Also, they do give a great blood trail in most c...

Re: x-act broadheads

We have four of us in our camp that use them, they work great. Only word of caution, watch the extreme quartering shots.

Have a couple of the covert ca3.o, no noise,1.2 sec trigger speed,video,4 aa batts, small size very nice pics. All for under $100.00 if you keep an eye on ebay. Also, comes with a remote control to program it and doubles as a color viewer for checking pics(not video)in the field.

Re: X-act broadheads

If you get a chance could you do a hard quartering test to see if there's any issue with deployment, thinking of giving them a try myself but have always heard that's the expandables Achilles heal.

Re: Leupold Crossbones scope

yep, you nailed it more or less,I shoot the old brown vixen so 30yrds is about all she's gonna give you on live game. The redfield is a great scope for the money,a buddy of mine has the 4 plex model he uses his aim point where there the reticle goes from small to large which also gives him three aim...
