Re: Browning by Gold Tip 5575 shafts
Thanks for the response. I had forgotten that I had those shafts. I have a dozen 2117 shafts on order along with GT Laser II brass inserts and flat nocks. Plan on using Blazers and have one of the E-Z Fletch Bolt fletchers on the way. I bought some black plastic that is used for tool handles to coat...

Browning by Gold Tip 5575 shafts
I was at the storage building this morning and found a bunch of graphite arrow shafts.
They are labeled Browning by Gold Tip 5575.
Can these be used with the crossbow?

Re: Good crossbow article in this month's Field & Stream
I think the point about vertical bowhunting declining after age 50 makes a good point. It was more like 57-58 for me, but the major reason that I bought the Excal as to enable me to enjoy archery hunting for another 10 years. I even had a bad knee fixed a couple of months ago so that I could have be...

Thanks for the information. I am always looking for stuff and a testimonial from a customer is always good. Prices look great also.

Re: need help
Gundog is correct, if you put the longer screw in the rear, it interferes with the trigger mechanism.

Re: Advantage of Ground Pounder or Munch Mount over std?
Does the Much Mount allow you to rest your bow on the ground as does the Ground Pounder (since the Ground Pounder is no longer available).
Thanks

Advantage of Ground Pounder or Munch Mount over std?
I see discussions of the Munch Mount and Ground Pounder. What is the advantage over the standard Excal mounts?

Exocet 200, S5, Flemish Dyna String, and Noise
I recently installed the Flemish Dyna string from Excal on my Exocet 200. After first shooting 24 arrows from the bow and allowing it to rest overnight (so that the sting could stretch), I adjusted the brace height this morning to where the string is about 1/16" in from of the S5 pads. There is...

Re: Stopping Crossbow arrows
UPDATE: I stopped at Bass Pro the other day and bought the Morrel's Yellow Jacket Bag for crossbows (field points). Works great. Stops the arrows and they are easy to remove.

Re: Flemish Twist String
After you hunt an area for several years you get to know the deer by name. The downside was that it was a 3 1/2 hour drive each way so by the time get up early, drive to the woods, hunt all day, and drive back home, it makes for a long day. Then it takes a couple of days to recover. The new place wi...

Flemish Twist String
Just installed my Flemish Twist String (Excal), set the brace-height and shot 12 shots. Will shoot additional 12 later today and then let the Xbow set overnight. Reset brace height tomorrow if necessary and complete Lumizone sight-in! So far, so good. Just got the news that we lost our lease on a fa...

Arrow Speed and Noise
I have recently watched all of the hunting videos on the DVD that came with my new Excal. Specifically, I have been watching for string jump. You can always hear the bow when it is fired but the deer that are around 25 yards are less do not jump the string. You do see string jumping on the 40 yard s...

Re: New Exomax or Exocet?
The Phoenix, Exocet, and Exomax share the same basic traditional stock ( I think). The increased power ia achieved by increasing the draw length by an inch between models. If you compare the pictures of each, the additional length is added in front of the stock (which shifts the balance point forwar...

Re: My Exocet 200 just arrived!
Have been shooting this weekend, it is getting easier to cock the crossbow. I limit each shooting seesions to 12 arrows (used same technique with compound). Amazed at how well the fiber optic sight works but called Dan M and ordered a Lumizone and the mounts. Like the idea of the multiple ranges. Ma...
