height

Case of the blind leading the blind here, but from what I've read on this site, you need to make sure if you twist one rotation of your string on one side, you make a one rotation twist on the other side.
Right :?: :?

A knowlege of compass use can't be replaced by a GPS.
Your GPS can fail, compass won't.
Having said that, a GPS is very handy, and super cool. You can use a fix to get another person to within a couple of yards of some spot, such as a tree stand.

murderer

It also costs tons of loot to execute a person. If Wisconsin did reinstate capitol punishment it wouldn't apply to this case. Don't apply to crimes committed before the the law changes. For my money, life without parol for each of the six murders, to be served consecutivly, not concurantly. The slim...

handling of deer

By all means get the health folk and the game department involved. If this person has let your deer go bad he/she deserves the full punishment of law!
Sorry this has happened to you.

elk with a gun

Hey Bushmaster,
I doubt that you need to be concerned about posting a terrific picture just because a gun was used.
The folk here seem to be equal oppertunity droolers over really nice game.

I hope you find peace within in this absurb world, where even going hunting can end in murder. There is small chance that you or yours will be in harms way, but I surely understand your feelings. We have to carry on with the business of sucessfully living our lives, lest some very real part of our s...

the buck

Wow, I envy you guys on the deer you get to see and hunt. Around here, south west Wyoming, I've seen exactly one mature buck in the five years I've hunted here. It was afternoon of the last day of the season, and I didn't take him. He was so magnificent I wanted him to be in the gene pool. This comi...

deer feed

Here in Wyoming I have experiance with both clover and alfalfa. The deer are mulies, but I doubt that matters much. I've watched deer come up to the front of our house night after night to eat clover, lived out in the hills at that point, and ranchers around here have fencing around their alfalfa st...
