If your Exo is loud, concider a bit heavier projectile. They absorb more energy, and leave less to vibrate the bow.

dry fire

Just tossing it out for the general knowlege. I once saw a feller dry fire a laminated recurve bow he'd made himself. Wood core, horn inner and glued senew belly. Yep, it did. came to pieces, and the wood core twisted.
He was a sad, sad man.

Well, by now everybody who wants to has had a chance to enjoy this political high enema. With the same result a physical high enema produces. How bout we ignore this swill, both U.S. and Canadian, and do something we can make better. Namely hunting, and friendship. Or, you can stick your toun...

meat grinder

 Openion and experiance I got. Just nothing to grind  . I have always prefered a good heavy cast iron grinder powered by me. Need a couple of plates too, one for burger and sausage, the other for chili. Seem to remember a good un at Lehmans lehmans.com a hardware store that caters to the A...

beautiful morning

Sounds like a fine one. Non hunters would never believe how much of the "hunt" is the enjoyment of nature, and mabe a couple of select friends at the fire.
The meat is a good bonus if it happens. :D

Why waste time??? I'll grant that hunting elk is as good as it gets _for me_. But no hunt is a waste of time. Being too darn sick to go hunting is a waste of time, just ask me, I spent three years that way. Now, a .270 will do better on a deer than a 30/06 :?: :?: I've shot a lot of deer with my tru...

lions and tigers and calibers, oh my

Gee Carl, I write it 30/06. Is that cool?
I've been managing to get my 180 gr. with that uncouth spelling for 45 years now.
Can't we all just get along? For God sake man, cut a bit of slack!!!

All that sounds good. But for the definate answer, let me say "it all depends." Up here deer and most everything else beds on sun facing slopes in cool to cold weather. Mainly slopes with a great range of visibility. Where do they bed in your area? A well used bedding ground can be product...
