Well, since this started with professional tree trimmers, I thought I'd throw my two cents in. 25 years ago I cleared power lines for a living. (so this information is dated). I worked on a climbing crew but because of my size 6' 2" 240 lbs, and my fear of heights :D I didn't climb much. We use...

Game Tracker for Crossbow?

Has anyone used a Game Tracker with a crossbow? If so, what were the results? I've used them successfully with compounds and I'm wondering if they are compatible with crossbows. If you're unfamiliar with the Game Tracker, it's a spool of dental floss type line, 17lb test that you attach to your bow....

Thanks Digger. I've actually been thinking of doing something like that. I don't have a real handy place to hang a quiver when I'm in my tree. Hunting public land negates using nails or screws or cutting limbs. Your hip quiver might be the ticket. Now the question is can I get one to fit a size 52 w...

Just fired my new Exocet for the first time. Double Wow! I squeezed the trigger with two other guys watching and none of us ever saw the arrow in flight at 20 yds.

Really looking forward to next hunting season. :D

Digger,

Does the case accommodate the quiver mounting bracket, or do you need to remove it also?

Thanks, I was afraid of that. :)

I have the truck....and the trailer. :D

Just didn't want to go through the hassle of breaking it down to transport it to my hunting spot. Guess I'll be taking up Carpentry 101 this Spring. :D

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I've been putting three stands on public lands for about ten years, one ladder stand and two hanging stands with ladders. Everything is locked in and all are very visible from roads, trails etc. The worst that ever happened is I lost a couple of ropes for pulling my ...

Hard case for Exocet???

Is there a manufacturer out there that makes a crossbow hard case that will fit Excalibur bows? Or am I forced to take break it down and use a rifle or shotgun case?

My apologies if this question has been asked a thousand times before. :)

Ted,

Xterror is right. Nothing beats first hand experience. Try them all and pick the one you like best. I just came back from shooting my Exocet for the first time. :D says it all!

Good luck!
