Why does anybody use a recoil pad on a crossbow?
There isn't any rear acting recoil-the pull is forward!
I would think that the extra length the pad adds to the stock would make it more difficult to shoulder with winter clothes on!
Just my humble opinion!

I use plastic nocks most of the time,to reduce rear end weight. I have never seen them made in clear.(mine are black) I have an ebay contact who sells all types of nocks, and I will check with him to see if they are available. I would just buy the right one from Lumenok-they more than likely add leng...

Plastic nocks

Go to Google and type in Lumenok.
You will see that they make their lighted nocks with flat ends, the recommended configuration for Excalibur crossbows.
Why try to re-invent the wheel?

I bought a Hornet off of ebay,to use as a wall ornament more than anything, and it did not have a rear sight. since I wanted it to be as authentic as possible,I posted on here and ended up with Digger selling me one of his Scorpions without the bow,so I could take the rear sight from that one. The si...

My son and I both own a Phoenix, and I find that his is much easier to cock, and the trigger on his is also much smoother than mine.
No idea why.
He is using carbon shafts and I am using aluminum, that is the only difference.(same approx overall weight of bolt)

HUNT ONTARIO WEBSITE

Anyone out there know what happened to this website? I had it as a desktop item, and when I went to it yesterday,it comes up with a new site,Ontario Out of Doors. Could not sign in without registering again. I see some of the guys who frequent this site on there,so something must have changed. All of...

Not sure what you want to use the glue for,but I found one at a Woodworking show in Toronto at least five years ago or more that is still in mint condition. It is called "The Last Glue",made by a company in Oakville Ontario, and a 20 ml bottle sells for $25 plus $9 to ship. It is like a cra...

If you go with a Garmin,I agree with Planter that one of the best ones out there is the Etrex Vista HCx. I upgraded a while back to the Etrex Legend HCx,and the only limitation with that one is that the compass that does not work unless you are walking, whereas with the Vista, the compass works when y...

My use of Brenneke slugs goes way back, and I am not familiar with any new slugs they may have on the market. All I can say is that a 20" group is hopeless as far as hunting accuracy, even if you are using open sights. That was the way my original 30" full choke barrel used to shoot, with a b...

Dutch, you are wasting your time and money shooting rifled slugs out of a rifled barrel! They are designed for a smooth barrel, preferably without any choke! Go to sabots, and you will see a world of improvement! I started with the old original slugs many years ago, through a full choke, and believe me,I...

I agree guys, but the frustrating part is that I can reproduce any shot at any distance I want,as long as I shoot it the way I described-I aim low at distances under 40 yards and high at anything over that. As an added note, left to right accuracy has never been an issue. Does anyone know if Excal ser...

Lumizone Scope Problem.

Last year,I accidentally dropped my bow from about three feet right on the front end of the scope on a concrete floor. I thought it had broken something inside,as it was shooting way high after the incident. I played a round with adding electrical tape under the front support mount to get it back to...
