Well, hopefully it won't have too much effect. Deer are browsers and do have tons of different food sources, plus our winters are quite mild.

My first post on this forum adressed this topic. I got a reply from someone who said he had done some testing with a chronograph, using two excal bows left cocked for 4 hours. One bow only lost 4 fps after four hours cocked, the other bow actually gained 1 fps! While I can't explain the bow gaining ...

No Acorns this Year

From what I can see, the oak trees in my area have absolutely no acorns at all this year. I'm afraid this will have a detrimental effect on the plumpness of the local deer. :(

.. I'll bet the guy gets out of your stand kind of embarassed and likely just used it while the owner was away. Just don't get mad, aggressive, or insulting. It's all in the attititude and this is where things could escalate. Remember, it's public land and it's a stand left on public property. Owne...

Just about any mail order place. I think Cabala's has them. They seem to be really catching on recently.

:? Confused about what you mean by "scope rail", GaryL. Do you mean the "scope mount", which is an extra accessory costing about $20, or do you mean the solid chunk of metal that the arrow retaining spring is connected to, which is an integral part of the crossbow?

 Sorry for the last post, I'm a little confused. If I remove the sight bridge (scope rail), will the claw come off with it, or does the claw stay connected to the crossbow?

Well TYE after looking at one of my Excaliburs it looks too me as all you would have to do is remove the scope rail and the claws are very easy to reach and polish up. Just remove your scope and scope rail, take a very fine grade of emery cloth and a small piece of 1/8" or 1/4" round dowe...

Exact same thing here TYE. The string is only chewed up by one side of the claw, the other side is fine.

As to the shooting lane question, there is no easy answer, but I would say that whoever put up their stand first is in the right, and the other person should definately move! No justifiable way to force them to move, though. However, the other question regarding treestand hijackers seems easy to me....

How do I get at the claw?

I have been having a small (very small) problem when shooting my exomax. The claw (holds the strings back) causes abrasion on the string serving, to the degree that I have already had to replace the serving on my string twice. I would like to polish the contact surfaces with some emery paper, but I'...

I ordered an Ultradot red dot for my exomax last week, it should arrive soon. (I will give a product report when it does. :D ) 30mm, $129, includes mounting rings and polarizing filter for bright days, lifetime warranty, MADE IN JAPAN. :D It seems to be about the best deal for the money from what I ...
