Worn out string serving?

I've had my exomax for about three weeks, and have done a fair amount of shooting. A few days ago, the center serving on the string started to loosen up, and after a while it unwound. :? Upon inspection, I discovered that it was very worn--to the point where I could easily break it between two hands...

I support Sliver completely; I think he is absolutely right to get that filth off of the first page, and I find myself suspecting why anybody would oppose him. Perhaps it hits some p...

:? What did I miss, Striper? Are you refering to the new "Gay Photo" post? I'm not trying to be a gay-basher, but I think we have the right to fight back when we are bombarded with that sort of filth.

Tough to find a good Red Dot Scope

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced red dot sight not made in china? Not trying to step on any toes, but I'm saddened by the way they're taking over the optics industry. :? I was about to order a Truglo red dot to mount on my exomax, but discovered that they're made in china. I'm pretty sure bus...

Truglo Red Dot

Does anyone use a Truglo red dot scope on their bow? I have heard that simmons and tasco and bsa scopes are often not so great. . . .anyone have experience with these brands?

The "Arrow Performance" page on the Excalibur website deals with your question. Sorry, mrxbower, I misread your question. I think the arrow shot from the tree stand will drop slightly more, because, since the hypotenuse is the longest side of a right triangle, the distance will be a littl...

Twisted Limb?

I am aware from personal experience that it is not hard to twist a limb on a laminated recurve vertical bow during the stringing and unstringing process. Do I need to worry about this with my Exomax? (I do not use the crossbow stringer.)

 Buy the scope for the Phoenix TYE! Better to stick with one type of weapon and practice with it until you achieve a high degree of proficiency than to invest in a new type of weapon. The compound is certainly no more effective a hunting tool than the crossbow, anyway.

Exomax Arrived Tuesday

I was sitting down to dinner tuesday evening when the parcel truck arrived with my crossbow :D . WOW :!: Right off, I was amazed with the quality of construction. There are a maximum number of milled aluminum components, no stamped sheet metal parts. I had a little difficulty stringing the bow, prob...

:o Great shooting ch312! Were the 1 1/2 inch apples shot a 20 yards or 50 yards? Also very interesting that the center crosshair of the max zone scope can be zeroed for thirty yards instead of twenty, and the elevation marks still give good accuracy out to sixty yards :!:
