Re: Excalibur Crossbows in 2013
A lot of the vertical bow companys 2013 stuff is out such as Hoyt and Mathews. When does Excalibur normally show the new years lineup/stuff?

Re: Excalibur Crossbows in 2013
I think they should come out with a thumb hole 150 lb sister bow to the Vixen. It would be a sweet handling bow. Thinking of getting the 150 lb Vixen to compliment my Vortex and that sounds very interesting. If it looked like the Eclipse XT I would be all over it. Considering the Vixen for 3D and r...

Re: Arrows
These arrows come to mind when somebody asks about a better arrow. I plan on getting some soon. They are pricey though, they want $75.00 for a half dozen. Check out http://www.camxcrossbows.com/cgi/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=ACU20F "ACU20F ACCUSPINE Carbon Crossbow hunting arrows have b...

I keep a rubber band around the stock and slip it over the safety to keep it on, until I'l ready to hunt. I'd first read about it here many years ago.

Buddy of mine used it on a morning hunt. Sent the deer running and snorting away.

Re: Bolt Cutter Broad Head
For what its worth, I just shot 150 grain Xbow Tricks from Slick trick. They are four blade heads, and I am very pleased with the way they flew out to forty yards. I wil be hunting this fall with the Vortex and Firebolt arrows and 150 grain Xbow tricks. I have no doubt they will do the job as long a...

Re: Rail Snot////
If you want your serving to seperate really fast then use rail snot. I tried it on advice from someone at a local pro shop when I first got my crossbow. That has been my experience with rail snot. I threw it in the garbage after that.

Re: Bolt Problem
I shoot at a Rhinehart 18-1 target. You can shoot both broadheads and field points at it and it stands up to a lot of abuse. It is solid foam and you can keep turning it on multiple sides. The stuff on your arrows is most likely from your morell target.

Re: xbow trick
Just got back from shooting my Excalibur Vortex with JBK string from Wyvern creations. I bought this xbow in the spring and was not happy with the stock string and flemish string I purchased because of serving seperation issues. The JBK string serving seems to be holding up much better. I originally...
