Re: new Micro 335 and broadhead questions

HI guys, I just got off the phone with the guys at Excalibur. They did say the prefer the heavier arrow for penetration and wind deflection purposes but they did assure me they did their extensive testing with the 350gr arrow and its fine and will not cause limb damage.

Re: new Micro 335 and broadhead questions

I have a scale an my bolts are 250gr. I guess I can use the 100 gr field tips and broad heads then. With the stock arrows you have aluminum front inserts, I would recommend 125 grain heads minimum with those arrows putting you around 375 total grains. The Micro will provide plenty of speed, so don'...

Re: Matrix 380 or Micro?

So i Did end up getting a Micro today. It was all killer deal so I had to. LeBaron had a no tax and 10% discount. They didn't have Much of anything left in stock so I guess al this talk of what to get was irrelevant. I Walked out with it for $810 total. I dont intend on really long shots past 50yard...

new Micro 335 and broadhead questions

So i Did end up getting a Micro today. It was all killer deal so I had to. LeBaron had a no tax and 10% discount. Walked out with it for $810 total. My question revolves around the weight of broad heads. I have 3 100 gr wasp boss broad heads from when I had my exocet. The guy at bass pro said I shou...

Re: Original Exocet Broadheads?

Depends on your arrow configuration. If you are using the Quills then I wouldn't. If you are using something with a brass insert then yes. Forgive my ignorance but I'm not sure what you mean. I would start with the 4 bolts that can with the micro. I would buy more but just assume I buy some over th...

Re: Original Exocet Broadheads?

Ok so I borrowed a scale and they are 100 gr. As of now I can use them.with my compound bow but would they be too light for the micro? It's not much faster than what the exocet 200 used to fire them at.

Ah so the reality is theres no way to know unless I can get them weighed.

I noticed the new Crossbows are using 150gr tips. I guess that means these would be too light? Or can I use them with heavier bolts? Im gearing towards a Micro.

Thanks

Re: Original Exocet Broadheads?

That's the one! Any idea on the weight of them? Would they be good on the new micro if I bought one?

Re: Original Exocet Broadheads?

Ho Boo, it's not those ones. They have black on them. If I had to guess I'd say they were anywhere with the exception bought between between 2006-2008

Original Exocet Broadheads?

Hi guys, i was digging through my closet and found the original 6 broadheads that came with the Exocet. There's nothing written on them and I'm trying to figure out if I can use them with my compound or if I'd be able to one day use them when I get my hands on a Micro. Does anyone know or remember h...

Re: Matrix 380 or Micro?

Thanks for all your opinions guys. I loved t way the micro felt but you are right. I'd have to try to find a place I can shoot both to get the full idea but there aren't too ma places I can think of up here in the Toronto area that would let you...if any. I do have , though as I still have my compou...

Re: Matrix 380 or Micro?

Your question needs to include more information concerning its usage. Desired range, your physical ability, etc. Seriously, it's somewhat akin to " what kind of gun should I get for hunting?". Sorry I thought I did mention mainly for deer as a main usage and perhaps one day moose if time ...

Matrix 380 or Micro?

I have been out of the loop for a while now but was considering a new Xbow. I see the Matrix 380 and Micro are the same price while the matrix 405 is $400 more. Im not that concerned with needing the extra FPS of the 405 and in reality the micro at 335 is the same as what my old Exocet was which is ...
