That's their one downside, no magnification. The distance between aiming points
cannot be adjusted to match the speed of a given arrow. If that's an issue take a look at the Hawke 1.5-5 X 32 IR SR. Speed adjustable and illuminated reticule.

Re: Four Blade Mechanicals?
The Reaper 4 blade got a bad review in test described elsewhere. Fragile blades, broke easily. I like the Reapers generally, but premature deployment of a banded but non-crossbow head resulted in TWO premature deployments. On to Killzone Crossbow for next yr.

Re: Tuff Gettin Old!
You guys, I'm 75. Got up this mornin, et breakfast, walked couple a miles, come home to the lil woman puttin on her britches. Slapped her on a beehind an said: "Puttin on a few pounds lately, darlin?" Doc says the swelling around my eyes should be gone in about a week; the dislodged trigge...

Re: Ideal FOC?
Depends on several things such as size of head you use as well as vanes. Using relatively small vanes (2" Blazers, and 3" Bohning X vanes) and mechanical heads or low profile (short) fixed 4 bladed heads I like my FOC around 15-18%. If I were using larger 2 sided fixed heads, and bigger va...

Re: Firenocks "J" nock question
Cossack when you say "won't work" what specifically happens? right now it makes a snap as it goes on the string, just like when I place an arrow on my vertical compound bow. The J nock is made specifically for the Mission bows line but it can work on other bows. It's opening allows the Mi...

Re: Firenocks "J" nock question
Tried em in my Vortex, using self made sting, no problem; also use em in two Missions. Great nock but the center serving has to fit it's opening, and if you're serving is larger in diameter than that specified (See the Firenock web site) it won't work

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
Archery involves arrow and string for propulsion. One could do the same thing with a muzzleloader and it still wouldn't be archery.

Re: hawke xb1 sr ir questions
I too own 2, and love them. I shoot some 2 dozen implements with scopes, rifles, handguns and crossbows, see no need for 30 mm tube, other than bragging rights. The 1.5x5 1" IR SR does EVERYTHING I need it to do without breaking the bank. It's relatively small, has good optics, has trajectory a...

Re: New Crossbow Rage Extreme
Looks very much like the Killzone Crossbow with a collar. Check out the Killzone, 2" blades .039''s thick, blade retention system that does not rely on collars, just sayin', and a cut on contact tip.

Or y7ou can use your present inserts and use say 175 gr tips. Many ways to skin the arrow-weight cat. Inserts are generally not easy to remove, heat must be applied CAREFULLY.
