Re: Awshucks is No More

That's terrible. Never met Dan but always had a lot of respect for him. He had a warmth about him that made him a friend-from-a-distance,

My condolences to this family and friends.

Re: I Miss Canada

THAT is exactly why I spend the summers here on Prince Edward Island (Canada !!!). HATE the heat and humidity. Once it gets to 27'C (80'F?) the locals start complaining about the heat. Hahaha !!!!! Always a breeze off the ocean and cooool nights. Not a traffic light within 50 kms. Seven beaches with...

Re: What things have you come across ,hunting

Was still hunting through a stand of cedars. Came out the other side and there was a whole bunch of big bags of Promix, layed out and covered with burlap. Out of every one was growing a marijuana plant. Musta been a hundred of em ready for harvest.

Smiled, looked around, and left.

In situations like this, I always root for the underdog.

Re: WHAT IS YOUR LONGEST KILL SHOT ?

Longest bow kill was 27 yards with the Exomag.

Most of em have been under 20 yards.

Have shot deer out to 125 yards with a slug gun and muzzleloader, but wouldn't go much farther with that. The crosshairs wiggle too much.

Re: OLDER HUNTERS

64 and counting. So far, so good. The first senior's discount I ever got was at 55 at the snowboarding hill. They they referred to me as the elderly snowboarder - not flattering. I try to keep active. No chronic disabilitating injuries, but close. Touch wood. Guess I'm stubborn (or a cheapskate). No...

Re: Crossbow hunts with lots of pictures ...

You got me with RJ. Lots of pictures was a bonus.

Maybe I've seen those before but seeing them again is just as good. Those memories are priceless.

Good on you RJ for getting those guys out at your place.

Keep up the good work.

Re: Things have changed ...

Call me ignorant (lacking in knowledge or awareness), but I could care less about those who try to promote or praise their own value on this forum. I couldn't give a hoot. Sure, some are more prominent than others and like the sound of their own typing, but those people I can ignore, in preference o...
