Ontario Moose Draw Results

Why don't we all post up our draw results in this thread.

My group has a bull tag, and (I expect) a cow tag as well for the archery hunt in WMU 24.

We're leaving in Sept. 13 to get set-up for the opener on the 15th. Only 45 days to go.

For the Canadians who are interested in one of these.

I picked up a flyer from Higginson's at a gun show last weekend, and it shows their regular price for the Sport 450 as $192.

I'd go range finder all the way. The night vision is a nice toy to play with, but the range finder has an immediate and practical application - both in hunting and target shooting.

I was there measuring.

It was quite a day. We checked in 151 deer, 6 moose and 1 bear.

Four non-typical deer scored over 200 points and 2 typicals came in at over 170. It must have been a particularly good season last year. It seemed that bucks scoring over 150 were common.

ninepointer: Your friend must have missed a few years of applying, because in the late '80s and early '90s we had a 100% draw for 3 or 4 years in zone 47. Myself, when the draw started in the early '80s we had very few available tags, and I missed the first two years in the draw, and then was succes...

My exomag gets its first chance at a moose on the 16th. It's really excited. I'm pretty calm though.

Under B&C, the circumferences are taken on either side of a broken or otherwise non-qualifying G1. I know this because I took the B&C course about a month ago, and asked this very question. Your first circumference measurement is between the burr and the broken brow tyne. The second is taken...
