I would put more leather on it to prevent chips to your finish JMO

I have never hunted with one but a friend swears by the heavier bow for Turkeys as it is faster and flatter shooting.

You will want a wide cut or if using a reg broadhead put a Zwickie claw on the arrow shaft to keep the arrow in the Turkey
