I'll take some pics and try to post them when I bring him down off the hoist. I shot him out of a ladder stand at 20 yards. Quartering to me. Complete pass through, he actually came closer not knowing what happened. I remained quiet and still until he fell over. I still have a stupid old grin on my ...

Feeling good this morning

I'm still really, really excited. I shot a nice eight point buck just before dark last night. My first deer with my new Vortex. All the tips and help on this site really helped me to prepare for this season. We can only get one tag for this area so I guess I'm done. But that's ok, he's down, he's be...

I wacked mine, it has to be at least 2 months or more ago. When I rub my thumb it's still tingles. If I rub my arm between my wrist and elbow, my thumb tingles. Probably did some nerve damage and I'm hoping it gets better with time. Hopefully yours will get better with time too. It's hard to explain...

I've had that happen to me before. Get about halfway through and you'd be thrown off. It doesn't seem to happen anymore, but I've changed who I get my internet from. Maybe that's the problem.

Cossack, Yep that's how it happened. Had the front resting on a block of styrofoam and placed my hand alongside the rail. Hopefully that'll be the first and last time.

Lesson # 2

I was shooting the crossbow today, left part of my hand up in the danger zone. Needless to say it was a mad scramble for ice and water. Really bruised the back of my thumb bad. Felt like my whole hand was on fire. After licking my wounds for awhile, and putting some adjustments on the Vari-zone I pu...

Yes there is only one carrying strap. However, I don't think that's too bad. You can put a hand down on the case to steady it. I do that with all my rifles too. I bought one yesterday at bass pro. They said they had 6 delivered... $59.95. Even met Thomas Pigeon from Canada In The Rough.

When I was growing up. I came from a family of 4 boys. Three of us had our drivers licence at the same time. My mom would keep tabs on whose turn it was to take the car by writing it down on the calendar. ( Saved a lot of arguments ) She also kept tract whose turn it was to do the dishes on the cale...
