I'll take some pics and try to post them when I bring him down off the hoist. I shot him out of a ladder stand at 20 yards. Quartering to me. Complete pass through, he actually came closer not knowing what happened. I remained quiet and still until he fell over. I still have a stupid old grin on my ...

Feeling good this morning
I'm still really, really excited. I shot a nice eight point buck just before dark last night. My first deer with my new Vortex. All the tips and help on this site really helped me to prepare for this season. We can only get one tag for this area so I guess I'm done. But that's ok, he's down, he's be...

Lesson # 2
I was shooting the crossbow today, left part of my hand up in the danger zone. Needless to say it was a mad scramble for ice and water. Really bruised the back of my thumb bad. Felt like my whole hand was on fire. After licking my wounds for awhile, and putting some adjustments on the Vari-zone I pu...

My mom would keep tabs on whose turn it was to take the car by writing it down on the calendar. ( Saved a lot of arguments ) She also kept tract whose turn it was to do the dishes on the cale...
