Whew!! At least there's no snakes

Picked out a really good spot a week or so ago, where a lot of toms were gobbling but wouldn't come out of. Snuck in there this morning and as the sun came up I realized I was in a huge patch of POISON IVY. And then the BLACK FLIES started! To end it all a couple of hens led the toms astray. :(

How many decoys?

I have one hen decoy. What does everybody find works well for them, and under what conditions. It all gets a little confusing :?

BAD MORNING-- LONG STORY

I'm new to turkey hunting. I took my turkey course last year, but only got out once and never saw anything. This year I did my homewok and got permission from the landowner. I was up and hidden in the fencerow by 4AM. What a great morning, coyotes howling, geese flying and then the turkeys. A hen wo...

There are some really good predator hunting shows on WILD TV. On the two shows I watch, One is Predator Quest and the Other is Canadian ( I can't remember the name) both of the hosts shoot the .204 and they rave about them. They do an awesome job.

I've been checking out my local turkeys for the last week or so. They seem to wander a large area and then just roost where they end up in the evening. I lost them for a couple of days and didn't know where they had got to. This morning I was in a huge hurry and was leaving for work around 5:30 AM. ...

When I first saw the topic, I thougt you were talking about big black rat SNAKES. We have them here. They're on the endangered list so you just have to say shoo snakes shoo! They can be up to 8 feet long and are a constrictor. Quite common in Frontenac Provincial Park. ( About an hour north of Kings...

Another Boo String

My string arrived today! From the time I contacted Don ( last Wednesday night) until today it took less than 8 days delivered. And I know he probably worked on it over the weekend. What great service. What a fantastic site to be able to get advice and products from our own members.

I thought it was pretty good. I even tried it out on the boys at work today. They kinda looked at me with a stunned silence. Of course, I cackled like a maniac anyway  Sometimes you have to keep them guessing

Just a question. When everyone tightens up the scope did they use any loc-tite? Or is that just a worry with rifle recoil?
