Re: Deer Bacon/Deer Spam
I hate saying it but I really like Spam but it's such an unhealthy thing to eat. This is an excellent idea!

Re: Erratic BH flight between bows
The faster the bow, the more broadhead alignment and tiller can affect flight. Broadhead alignment can go out after hitting a target.

Re: Best 3 things I've bought.....so far
Those deer hoists are slick! Still can't get myself to buy a Worksharp. They look perfect for longer knives and I'm still happy with my Spyderco Makesharp. Someday!

Re: OT \ Battery chainsaws
I have a Stihl cordless chain saw and pole saw but there are quite a few big trees on my property, some of them are 2' and 3' at the base. I also have the odd one 4' at the base. On rare occasion, I've needed a second chain saw because the cordless got pinched and I couldn't get a wedge in. I could ...

Re: Blood trails
I've had great performance for the most part using large mechs out of my vertical and xbows. Being a BH junky, I'm always buying and testing BH's and have thrown many away over the years. I got my first excalibur last year as I shot a longbow exclusively for about 20 years and have been fortunate t...

Nice knives! But I’d hate to be in a situation to have to use it! But it’s better than punching a bear!

Re: Blood trails
It is better in many ways to place your arrow lower. Blood trails sooner and insurance in case the deer drops.

I always remind myself that I’m not living in Gaza, the Ukraine, a village in Afghanistan etc. I guess in away, some of us have good problems to have. But sometimes that isn’t an easy one to swallow.

Re: What the heck is wrong with people today?
I told the landowner my brother and I would clean it up and take it to the dump but he said he’d take care of it. I gave him a big box of sausage and steaks from my deer. He texted me yesterday so we’re still good. My neighbour, who owns 500 acres used to allow a lot of hunters use his land until s...

That sucks. Getting up there in age just makes we appreciate the saying about being on the right side of the grass. It also makes me regret working so hard and long, not enjoying life as much as I should have. Don hopefully once the nicer weather hits you and Karin will be virus resistant to enjoy ...

Duckhunt, I like to think that I really take care of my vehicles. That would have been really depressing, replacement vehicle or not! I would probably have cried myself to sleep!   Jeff, just wait! You're 55 but at 70 I'm a hurting unit some days. I just had x-rays on my knees and ri...
