Re: ?speed?
The venerable Vixen, shooting a 350 gr arrow, w/ FFF string produces 58 lbs of k.e. at 40 yds. Plenty enough for a white tail deer......so how can you talk about one without the other? increasing speed does increase KE correct?
You are correct, as speed goes up so does ke........

Re: Thoughts on equinox?
My 1st Excal [06]was an Emax. Back then, it was hard on servings. I settled on an Exocet as my favorite xbow.....The servings changed after I'd sold the Emax, btw.
I had a 380, sold it to Normous, preferred my Y-25....

Re: What things have you come across ,hunting
I watched a red-tail hawk take out a rooster pheasant in a picked bean field one day.....
2nd red-tail experience, I'd shot a red squirrel in a dead fork where it stayed. As I sat there looking at it trying to figure out how to get it down, Bingo, a red-tail landed and lunched, lol.

Re: Hunting setup!!
You have a 92 gr insert, why not 100 gr b-heads, you'ld chop off 25 gr right there.
I use BEE 20" same insert and vanes for 400 gr [total] w/ 100 gr point. Shot out of a Y-25 @ 310 [or so] fps.
I shot a 1000 lb cow buff at 20-25 yds w/ a 446 gr arrow, passed thru her, fwiw.....
