SCOPES AND PA!

Finally, someone came to their senses!! An excerpt from the PA game commision: Let's hope it goes all the way! Best one I have ever seen is a small trailer, put up on big 8 by 8 posts, with a set of stairs up to the front door. This guy even ran power from his house, and has a TV,and all the comforts of home! I would estimate he is up about 12 feet to the bottom of the trailer. He was into heavy equipment, and h...

I started out with 100gr Innerloc broadheads, and had problems with FOC affecting flight. I changed to some heavier heads, and also am experimenting with vanes under 5",to try and make the flight the same as a target point. Good solid broadhead, and whistle right through a deer with minimal damage...

I am surprised somebody from PA on this site has not brought up the impending legislation on the possible legalization of crossbows during archery season in their state. I am not from there, but have a vested interest in what passes as I have a cabin in their lovely state and have hunted there for mo...

Welcome to the site! I installed an STS on my Phoenix this past summer, and comparing it with my son's Phoenix that does not have one,I would say that the sound level drops by lhalf. Can't quote decibel levels to be precise, but you will find it has a lot less "whack" and a smoother return. ...

Just Google "Red Dot Scope",and you will find a variety of one power red dot scopes available. OpticPlanet.com have some for under $15,and they fit Weaver bases. No idea what quality you get for that price,so it might be a good idea to start a thread about the quality of these units. Someb...

Can anyone confirm that a disabled permit holder can still use a scope with magnification after this new ruling? I have hunted down there for years, and would have to remove my Lumizone,if that is not the case. For me,this ruling is forcing me to go backwards! Years ago,I had a compound bow with a si...

The only large deer yards that I know of are on the east side of Lake Huron, stretching from around Kincardine,up to Owen Sound. My son worked for the MNR when he first graduated, and they would do the yard surveys in that area in the wintertime. It is a strip of bush, set back from the lake, where they...

Norm,I used to say that an uppercut to the kneecap of all you tall guys brings things to a level playing field! And to Dutch, seriously think about getting yourself an STS for vibration. Best investment I ever made! I put one on my Phoenix, and the sound and vibration difference is worth the money. My...

Norm,I loved your reply! I can understand why you would want the extended stock. I happen to be 5'6",and guess what? Have you ever found a pair of pants with a 28" inseam" That's what I wear, and the shortest you will ever see is 30",so nothing works for me off the shelf! I guess ...
