Re: Couldn't find my 8 pointer

I agree this isn't the place to give somebody heck but rather to offer advice and knowledge. Put this in the memory bank as you were probably excited to connect with your vortex for the first time. Pick your yardage you are money at and stick to that zone always. I have lost a deer and it has only h...

Re: Scent eliminating sprays... Do they work?

They won't do much if your gear is never washed or you dont try and be careful with your camo to and from your hunt. I buy non allergenic, non scented laundry detergent (thats all the stuff is at hunting shops) and wash my stuff every couple hunts. I store it in a tupperware container and break off ...

Re: Feeding deer corn in winter months

I heard the same thing but have been watching around 30 deer this winter and they live exclusively in some standing corn. I have watched several of them pull a cob right off and eat the whole thing and then grab another. What about hay? Hunting shows out West feed hay when hunting late season. Some ...

Re: I just made my first website....Wilmot Rod and Gun

Archery is not there yet as this website and thread are being communicated because that is something that I want to do this year. It starts with a vision and takes some member $ to make it happen. The club will commit me some $ to start up if I can get a few archery members. We could use the bush to...

Re: I just made my first website....Wilmot Rod and Gun

TPM, Thanks for the interest. I have passed it on to see if there is any family rate for a husband and wife. I believe that is $80 per person but maybe this will get them thinking to possible attract more couples.

Re: I just made my first website....Wilmot Rod and Gun

Thanks OKXbowhunter for the feedback and information. I have since made another design on wordpress and agree this is better then flash and Wix I used. I will save that for next year as I just wanted to get it going quickly. Appreciate it.

Re: I just made my first website....Wilmot Rod and Gun

Ryan, Know your Uncles well thanks for the note. Dereck - There are no concrete plans on archery just a dream. What I need is more interested members that have archery as an interest. Currently I use my ladder stand and shoot into targets that I set up. A deer 3D at 25 yds, stinger block at 35 and a...

I just made my first website....Wilmot Rod and Gun

Hi Guys, Please have a look and let me know what you think. I formatted it in flash so some apple devices and mobile wont work but on all PC's I'm good. I have never made a website and spent around 5 hours on this one. The content is almost complete but the tricky part was domain name, pointing mx r...

Bow Shop called me I won a prize........

Hi Chris, Its Arlene from the Bow Shop in Waterloo how was your hunting season? I responded pretty good I shot a couple of nice does with my bow this year. Oh that's too bad your name was drawn for the unsuccessful hunters prize in the the Biggest Buck contest. The prize was a spypoint game camera.....

Re: Ontario Elk Hunt

If I was lucky enough to get a bull tag and there was access to some nice animals I would be prepared to pay the hefty $. I have started researching elk hunting abroad and the cheapest I can find anywhere if I even get the tag would be $3K plus. I have met some MNR guys that are very knowledgeable h...

Re: My first Crossbow

I would head to your local bow shop and use a rope cocker on a few models. I find with the rope cocker they are all pretty simple to handle. Any good shop will ask you to try them our and give you the correct advice. I am in KW area and the Bow Shop and George are very helpful. The guys at Triggers ...

Re: My Whitetail Season 2010

Hey Gerald, Compound only this year. I had the crossbow out late season for some cold days and a few bush pushes but no shots fired. The cross hairs were on a few with the crossbow but never pressed the trigger. I use my climber a ton and find its easier to travel with the compound that's all. Depen...
