We do not have the right or are required to retrieve an animal by law in Ontario. If you shoot an animal you must have landowner permission to retrieve that animal period. The misconception is you call the MNR and they will come escort you on the property and veto no permission from landowner. The i...

I have tons of pics of does, yearlings and fawns. Corn is key and my properties this year all have alfalfa, soybean or silage corn which is gone already. My sightings are way up compared to this time last year. I have seen at least 8 bucks this year and last year didnt see any until shotgun week. I ...

For hangs on I use my gorilla climbing sticks (I think around $60 CAD at most shops) They are easy to install and take literally 5 mins at most. At the top I use the safety harness that comes with all stands and its has a linemen belt to wrap around the tree. I then use a rope that I have attached t...

Maybe not the best but for value you cant beat it.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270297543376 Bushnell yardage pro rangefinder (mossy oak breakup) I bought this one from Ebay and it has worked awesome for me. Its not top of the line but it is small, easy to use and was sent to me to Canada for under $200. You cant beat it. It...

Anyone know the SWO Deer Yards?
I hunt on properties in Plattsville/Bright and I know the deer yard up by RJ's place in Innerkip for that area. I hunt Kitchener/Roseville and I know the deer yard up in a few places either in the Roseville swamps or the 87WMU side in Kitchener. I have a couple of spots in Maryhill but dont know whe...

I have decided to buy one myself for next year. After 15 mins of research I have decided that I will buy the Lone Wolf Alpha Sit and Climb or the Viper Summit SS. I am thinking the Lone Wolf but would appreciate any feedback from fellow forum members. My reasons are because when I looked at them bot...

I use non-allergenic laundry detergent. Its $6 for a big jug and it has zero scent and is not hard on your hunting gear. Thats all that wildlife research and gimmick soaps like that are. I wear a scent blocker suit (put in dryer to activate carbon before each use) and put it in a tupperware containe...

I have seen him several times in the corn field that is directly across from the construction entrance. You can see that someone uses it to 4 x 4 regularly. I walk down that path and you start to see sign like crazy and the field is dug up pretty good. You are close to the swampy looking area which ...

Im glad I gave RJ the tip on this spot
I did it so we could all enjoy his stories with his camera! I was at the same spot today and saw a big fat 10 pt with a big rack so keep an eye out RJ. Unfortunalely I did not have a camera with me but he was close enough if I did. This spot would be a goldmine to hunt in season except for one probl...
