Your experience is, IMO, not surprising as In my dealings with Bill, Kath, and the Excal staff I find their service to have always been much "better than expected"

GaryL, I think a good example of "0" magnification is a red dot scope, which if I'm not mistaken has no magnification.

I think the Excal scopes are 2.5 power
