Eganville (Ontario) Gun Show
This may seem like the wrong forum for this thread, but a few FROW measurers will be in Eganville at the gun show to measure racks and skulls. Bring in your trophies, or just stop by to look at the ones other guys have brought in. I understand that Ontario's No 5 moose rack will be there on display....

Wild TV
I may have missed a thread on this earlier, but I visited their web site today, and they have Rogers Digital, and Cogeco listed as cable suppliers who offer their channel.
I plan to call tomorrow to see if its available in Ontario.

At my hunt camp in the Parry Sound District I hunt about 2,000 acres of Crown Land for deer and Moose with a centre fire rifle. I bowhunt moose north of the French and Mattawa rivers, so I could argue that I have access to some 300,000 square miles of territory. In reality, travel in the bush is qui...

Looking at the pictures, it appears that the 168 estimate is not too far off - providing that the skull plate is intact. If the antlers have been split, it's not eligible for record book consideration - except for FROW (we now accept professionally repaired skull plates). I'll send you my e-mail add...

I've been going over some old posts, and found this one. I shoot 220 grain bullets of my own manufacture in my Remington 7600 in .35 Whelen. 57 grains of IMR 4895 gives me 2645 fps, and 55 grains of H335 gives me 2630 fps. I find the IMR 4895 load to be more accurate in my rifle. My bullets have a c...

I can't quote a source on this, but many years ago, I read of the discovery of some frescoes in Turkey that appeared to depict soldiers using crossbows in battle. The frescoes dated from 4,000 BC. At the time the opinion was being challenged by the (history) establishment, but it does raise some que...
