Re: Things have changed ...

I am 71 years old going on 30. Every day I wake up I am thankful for what the Good Lord has blessed me with. There will always be disagreement in any group be it Church, the Lodge, Schools, Family. But all in all the most Christian and caring attitudes always survive. There are some awful good peopl...

Re: Is there an event where the Excalibur family can meet?

Hey strum, you say you got a date at a family reunion? We're not allowed to date our cousins here in Texas. It is illegal to do so in Arkansas too I hear but they still do it. You left yourself open for that one buddy. Cheers

Re: When to Buy a New Bow?

My reply to the original question is quite simple. The answer is...."when the wife ain't looking." Same goes for a new gun, a rod or reel, or a neat Tool I ain't got.
Cheers

Re: Crossbones ?

I have a Nikon Bolt on my 330, a Shadowzone on my 355 and a VXR firedot on Mini Pearl. Originally had the firedot on my 355 but moved it to Pearl after the season. I like the Leopold much better. The firedot goes off after a little while, but when you move the bow, it comes back on. I like that feat...

Re: What helped you harvest a deer?

I'm with Griz. Patience. Got a nice buck and two doe this year with my 355. Didn't get my Micro until after the season. Good fawn crops the past three years helped us a lot in the Texas Hill Country. Horns were good too this year. No drought this year or the last. Getting excited already about next ...

Re: offspring crossbow or a tenpoint crossbow ?

I want to see the results of that machine that shows all those competitor compound crossbows being blown up rigged and testing an offspring. Just curious to see how an Excal wheely bow compares...Cheers

Re: what happen to Bill T.

Also, what ever happened to Hunting The Backwoods Videos by Excalibur? The new Excal videos on the hunting channel aren't as good as Dan and his bunch. Win some, lose some...we've lost some awfully good ones....Bill, Dan and his bunch etc. Us old farts enjoyed those guys. Comes with getting old. I l...

Had some interest in how I mounted my Kwikie Quiver on top of my Nightmare. Quite simple really. One screw and double stick tape. Works Great.

Re: Quiver options, advice?

I use a Kwikee quiver and mount the base directly on the bow on top so the arrows lay perpendicular to the rail. I simply use industrial double stick foam on the bottom of the base and run one mounting screw through one of the holes already in the bow and tighten it. Never had one work loose with th...

Re: micro

Same here. I made up some 17 in BEE with 130 gr brass inserts and 100gr field points. Changed to a Rage (wasted one to see where it shot) and it hit dead on. I wasn't paying attention and picked up an 18 in arrow I normally shoot in my 355 and they were dead on too at 20 yds. Go figure. Awesomely fo...

Re: Just got a Excal M380... wow, very LOUD!!!

I have something you might check. I had an Exocet that was the loudest bow I've ever owned, even more so than a friend's Exocet. We studied my bow and found that where the rail joined the limb assembly, there was a much greater gap on my bow than my friend's, almost enough to place a credit card in ...
