it has been suggested in hunting forums that the great majority of manufacturers of 3d camo impregnate their color dyes with uv brightners. are your 3d camo suits impregnated with uv brightners?
we would like an honest comprehensive answer, and advice as to which, if any, of your products have uv impregnated into the dyes.
i will post this letter on other hunting forums, and would appreciate all you other forum users of excaliburcrossbow.com to give me a hand by putting this post on other hunting forums, rifle or bow.
perhaps you all can ask other manufacturers the same questions on an open post by using this one by copy and paste. lets find the honest manufacturer whom puts us before profit. a big ask maybe.
lets get an answer!! give me some help. this is in all our interests.
open letter to realtree.

I hate to stir the kettle, but Hoss, I had a jacket, made by a certain manufacturer, that I just don't care, the darn deer saw it. I would be picked out, sitting still at over 100 + yds down wind. I kept this coat, and proved it to many people "not in hunting season of course" I now wash all my cloths in the atsko wash, but even it did not help the coat. I wish I still had it, I'd sell it to a non believer real cheap. Having that jacket, made me realize that. I use mostly Mossy Oak Camo, but have some realtree stuff also. I've also killed deer in the early years, with second hand army/navy swiss wool pants, and a plaid woolrich shirt. Malone bibs, are still a favorite in late season, I think they look just like a cherry tree. Stillness is the best camo, but I do believe some manufacturers, are like fishing lure makers. They catch the guy in the store first. Me, I think the Mossy Oak Treestand, was the finest made. Mine are all worn out, and I'm about to cry. I may get one more season (or two) But what ever is left, you can bet, I'll have the wife sew me up a seat cushion or something special just so my old reliables can still go in the woods. Camo is a billion dollar business, but many deer, are killed in farmers Carharts, blue jeans, and even old dress slacks. I even know one guy who wears a Hawwiian print shirt in the early season, cause he thinks it looks great in the trees. Wear what ever works for you. But beware of the jacket that everything sees. I guess it only concerns certain people and others just seem oblivious to the concept altogether. That is fine, but dont bother purchasing or dressing in camo that has UV brightners in them. Save your money, wear your street clothes.

I am very interested in the answer to this question as well. Maybe you are not, so be it. But glowing to deer after spending good money is not my idea of a good time. If they are using UV brightners in the dyes, I'd like to know. I am convinced that deer see UV brightnerns well and would like my next purchase to not contain UV brightners so would very much like to know. To me, this is a pinnacle question in hunting.

Where's the deer?
I guess I am going to have to wear my camo to the strip bar to see if it glows under the special lighting there. ANyone else wanna do a highly scientific trip to Club Supersex? I would be willing to sacrifice myself in this manner to be sure that we get to the botom of this conspiracy.
I don't think you are finding much of a response from people because everyone seems to be getting deer in all kinds of camo. I know my predator camo is dyed and they claim that it won't fade fast like cheap stuff. Does that mean that it is UV empregnated? If so, then I am not worried about it. The 1st 2 times I wore that suit I had 5 deer at less than 30 yards. On top of that, I was sitting in stands at 10 and 6 feet with almost no cover. Am I worried about my camo? Not really.
Aside from emailing the manufacturer, how else can you tell? I just bought a new bib at Bass Pro with Realtree HD Green. If I ask BP, they will give me one of 3 answers. 1.Tell me what I want to hear. 2. Tell me they will look into it (and never get back to me). 3. Glaze over and say "HUH"?. I doubt that many manufacturers will know about the UV and if they do, I doubt they would admit to it.
I guess before I go to the strippers and test my camo, I should go out hunting tonight and see what the deer have to say about my new stuff.
