Very good story Mike. I like the way you used, scent, grunts, bleats, and mock scrapes, to intice that buck in. You've opened my eyes a little in a way of, that's what I should be doing. I'm very pig headed, stuck in my style of hunting. I don't use scents, mock scrapes, decoys, grunts, bleats, etc., ect. I put the wind in my face, and slowly, slowly, still hunt. Once in awhile I use rattling antlers, which has prove to be sucessful. Knowing your property meticulously, in how the deer move is also key. I think if I would spend the time implement these techniques I would likely get more action.

Long story short, I think I'll try your technique, one day. Looks like alot of fun.

I got mine at a Walmart earlier in the season.
This stuff is just great, it's the real thing and not like that artificial junk that's being sold out-there. The Code Blue has proven itself a few times for me out in the field. I don't use anything but this scent product, buck or doe urines, it's always Code Blue!...

Hey Congrats Mike, that's one hell of an 8 pointer.

My gang baged 5 deer this past week during gun season, best season we've had in years. The area we hunt in really dense with lots of cedar and pines, it's tough hunting I tell you. The gang saw 3 nice bucks but was only able to take one of the 3, here he is being weighed in Dacre outside of Renfrew.

We still have some buck tags so the excal hunting will continue in Kanata until December 31st.
