New member needs help!!!
Hi guys,
New member here, thought I'd say, "Hi" to everyone.
Had my Phoenix for a month now and can't put it down.
I figure it's not a sport, not even an addiction, more like a disease.
Are their any support groups out there, I need counselling. Haven't seen the wife and kids for so long, missing work and my compound bow isn't speaking to me anymore...Help me please!!
(hehehehe...kiddin'..just loving it!)

Thanks guys...and I thought I was alone with this "problem".
Hey, just got back from the range (office is closed today..I swear!!!)
Shot the middle out of a "toonie" at 50 yards..yeah yeah..I know, it's a waste of money and it can damage an arrow, but it's a beautiful sight, seeing the light sparkle off the outter ring as it spins on the shaft.
Question: When I bought this Xbow, I picked up a dozen Goldtip Laser II, 100 grain points, 4" vanes, guy in the store made them up for me. Smashed the hell out of them (never shoot at the same spot twice..right!!) So I picked up a "box" of "Excalibur" series 22 carbons, screwed in the same 100 grain points, these have 5" vanes.
Yet these "out of the box" excalibur's hit 2" higher at 30 yards.
The only difference is the vane length.
Question is (hope it doesn't sound stupid), does the vane length make that much difference, or am I missing something here???
Thanks.

Welcome!
I've been shooting GoldTip Laser2s with 4" fletching (both feathers & vanes - I adjust the weight by adding 8-32 threaded rod to the front insert inside the shaft) weighing 380 grains. Just finished some 2216 aluminums with 5" feathers weighing 390 grains, and they are grouping about 2" higher than the GoldTips at 10 and 20 yards.
