LOL! They must have the Pit Bulls / Curr dogs leashed up out of the Picture frame. Interesting! Thanks for sharing.

RJ - no, these are primarily bird dogs. I can post some bird pics if you want.

Broadhead, I know these guys, they don't have pit bulls :-)
Spaniels don't engage boars of course, but they use them to find and run
the boars sort of like dogs here run deer. They had one husky type dog with
them, they are used for boar, moose and bear.

leonk,

are you shure these dogs are spaniels?
To my mind they look like German Wachtelhund !
And the German Wachtelhund is one of the best dog for driving game, does not matter which size :D

Yes, I am sure. these are Russian Hunting Spaniel.
the breed was started in Russia some 60 years ago with
cockers and springers. They're just a tad bigger than cockers.
If you want more info on the breed just google the name.

leon : cool .... yep , you should post some pictures of some of the birds you showed me .... I'm sure some of the guys would enjoy seeing birds from other countries .... like that cap???? ( big bird that screams during mating season ) .... and the big colorfull grouse .

Years ago i was lucky enough to hunt and ice fish with a Lithuanian (Lithuania a Russian Satellite in his time ) old timer, he was in his mid eighties, and at our deer camp, we listened to many interesting stories; funny enough i was the only one not speaking the language, i am Italian, i speak several languages, Lithuanian is not one of them   , however we were told how they would tie a lamb down on a horse drawn sled, and go through the bush, the lamb's cry would be the lure for Wolves, and that's how they hunted them, for fur as well to rid the forest of predators, i guess akin to what is done here with Coyotes.
Daniele.
Good hunting, be safe.
