targets,who uses what?
Hi guys. I've been reading the forum for about 2 weeks and got my exocet 200 this Wednesday. Lots of great info on shooting arrows but not much on stopping them . Do you guys have any advive on what I should buy or use?
I also have a question on using the search on the forum. When I search and find a topic it comes up x number of matches found. After I read the first one, how do I get back to the list to read the rest ? At 47 I'm almost as new to computers as I am to crossbows, but its never too late to learn something new.
Post or PM me on search stuff. Maybe everyone else knows how to use the search function.
Thanks to all members for making this a great forum

Hi Bad Shot,
the best you can buy is a Rinehart Block !
I shot several thousands of arrows with broadheads into mine and it still works ! You also would not find a better material where you can pull out carbon arrows with one hand
Our parcours is also has 30 Rinehart target and we do a lot of bow and crossbow shooting on them - easy pulling
Take a look at www.rinehart3-d.com
Best regards from Austria

Would any of the "block-like" layered targets work for the 200lb Exocet?
Thanks,
-Mike, also pondering stopping these swift arrows with easy removal

I use a Block target and a Yellow Hammer Mini Slammer, I also make my own with burlap feed bags, stuffed with fiberglass strips from window screening. all of them work well.

The Block
I like the block. It stops bolts from a Barnett revolution so it will stop anything Excalibur or any other company makes. I also like it because it is portable. I throw it in the truck when I go hunting, makes it easy to un cock my xbow.
I will be using it as soon as I am finished making it.
A shopping bag target. It's a feed bag stuffed with plastic shopping bags. Exceptionally cheap, ask neighbours, friends or relatives to give you their shopping bags and they add up real quick. It stops both field points and broadheads. When the feed sack gets to the point of no return it can easily be replaced. Just slip a new one over top the old one.

I use a MORRELLS range bag for field tips, and a block for broad heads
