How accurate is the EXOMAX ?
Would like to hear your opinnion's .
I think the general consensus of the forum members is that all Excals are equally accurate. The only thing that basically varies is the speed.
Some have said that the Exomax is hard on strings.

OK
So ; How bad are we talking about with the string problem and is there a fix in progress ?
Re: OK
There is NO string problems. The exomaX is just harder on strings cause their high poundage. This is absolutely normal and expected from a powerfull bow like the exomaX.prairiewolf wrote:So ; How bad are we talking about with the string problem and is there a fix in progress ?
Believe me, exomax was my first excalibur bow. Since my first shot I have a passion for she. Today I also have one exocet 175, its also great.

Yah BUT !
What I want to know is how many shots between string changes ? How serious is this ?
String wear
My max is over a year old and I know I have nearly 500 shots on it, as I did a lot of chrono work with it. The center serving is finally beginning to show a little wear. I keep the string well waxed. The string is a Flemish Fast Flight.
I would like to know what type and size of serving to use to reserve the string. Anyone know?

with a string that is over a year old and 500 shots out of it, i would probably just purchase a new one...keep the old one for an emergency spare...Bucktail wrote:My max is over a year old and I know I have nearly 500 shots on it, as I did a lot of chrono work with it. On my exomaX, I am getting 300~400 shots per string, keeping it well waxed. The exocet 175, more than 500 shots.widowman wrote:Is it the extra poundage or the longer power stroke? I would think that it would be the extra friction recieved from the longer power stroke. The exomaX is just harder on strings cause their high poundage.
???
If you wanna a high poundage bow, exomaX worth it.

Re: String wear
For sure, I don´t let the serving wear too much before replace the strings. I replace them before, when the serving begins to loose.bj wrote:with a string that is over a year old and 500 shots out of it, i would probably just purchase a new one...keep the old one for an emergency spare...Bucktail wrote:My max is over a year old and I know I have nearly 500 shots on it, as I did a lot of chrono work with it.
