I did a bit of practicing with the vert on New Year's Eve ( Dedicated or what?? :wink:) Anyway, on the third set of Three, this happened! I heard the arrow hit with a totally different sound and, on reaching the target, found that I had done a "Robin Hood"!!!! I have been close before with my vert, but this time It was bang on! I have left the two arrows as they were, and given them pride of place on my living room wall!
The first of my Three arrow set was a little off the mark, but the second nearly got the bulleye, then my third hit the second dead centre of thr nock, and pierced the shaft, pushing the nock below the fletching...see pic!!
So now I am a member of the Robin Hood society!! :D Mind you, that's another one of my lovely arrows gone...Have to be ordering some more from BJ soon!
Just thought I'd share this with you all. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Perfect way to start the New Year Grizz. Way to go! I'm glad the new toy is working out for you. It looks like it's made perfectly for you. And a nice home made target to boot :lol:

Grizz good shooting, is that thing lowered down to about 30lbs. or do you have a heater some were on your body. Them pics look cold. Rich

Hi Don,
The back-stop is just a big cardboard box filled with old insulation (fibreglass), and two sheets of pink polystyrene foam (Hardware store) taped onto the box.
The box filled with insulation worked ok, but after a while my arrows were either going in halfway up the fletchings, or all the way through, which was ruining my fletchings. The sheets of foam did the trick and, although it's ok, it isn't ideal. If the arrows are kept clean and lubricated, they come out very easilly, but after a while they get streaked with the foam stuff, and are hard to remove! But it does for me till I get a proper target, and cost me very little. The targets are paper one's from Walmart ( packs of 3 )
The bow is presently set at 45# It's a Bow logic 34 from Kodiac .
