Turkey Setup
What do ya'll think about arrow and broadhead selection for turkeys?
Use the best arrow/head combo you have for accuracy. Accuracy is the most important thing to concider. The next important thing is an arrow arrester. No matter what arrester you choose to use, use one. The sliding kind work better then the fixed ones. I have found that the Zwickey Scropio's work the best.
The head does not really matter that much as long as you have the accuracy and the arrow stays in the bird to hinder the bird from flying or running.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
Good luck.

The scropio's are sized for the shaft sizes. You can get them 21/64 or 22/64 size (for the 21XX or 22XX series arrows). Gagnon's used to sell them and are suspose to get them in again shortly. Archers nook in london also used to sell them. I have also seen them around in other shops over the years in Ontario but I can't remember exactly where those shops are now, sorry.
Hope this helps you with a start.

There's a place called the archers nook in London that carries them. If you tell them what shaft you are shooting they will sell you the ones you need.
They are cheap as ........ as far as I am concerned at $3.50/2+taxes. I haven't tried them on a bird yet though. Their phone# is (519)455-3021

Sorry, it took me so long to look up the # Tom already told you about the store. They have tons of them and they also have some 100gr. turkey broadheads that look interesting. They have a blunt point backed with 3 fixed blades.

The scorpios I have are 22/64 and they do fit GTlls. I put an oversized field tip on the shaft first and slide scorpio onto the shaft, then put the broadhead on.
Scorpios come in izes 22/64, 21/64, 20/64, be sure you get the 22/64s.
I couldn't find them in Canada, but you can try Archers Nook or Labarons.
